Default Great Experience: Zen Autoworks Calgary

    Hi,

I wanted to give public props to Sean over at Zen Auto Works:

After owning FTOs back in the UK I was going through some withdrawal when I moved to Canada. I contacted Sean about a year ago about helping source a very clean 5-Speed Mitsubushi FTO GPX with very low KMS. After 8 months a car that would meet my standards was found and we proceeded to import. Sean and I worked together with my contacts in the UK to ensure compliance of glass and lights.

The car arrived in great condition, exactly as described, all compliance work and OOP was completed on budget. I am happy to say she is now registered in Alberta, making her one of the very few (if not the only) street legal FTOs in Canada.

Sean was professional and a pleasure to do business with.

If anyone is looking for an extremely clean RHD contact Sean!

mod edit - need to be sponsor to post contact info/link

I'm not a fan of Mitsus, but that's not bad and I've never seen one before. The back end is cool, but the front reminds me of a sunfire.

Thanks Mate, almost 4 years to the date from selling my old one

    Non-Turbo Standard - 2.0 Mivec - 199 BHP

However, I will be dropping the block from a VR-4 Galant in over the fall / winter; Pretty standard conversion.

I know for the money I could have gotten a much faster car, but nostalgia is a powerful thing, and I love these cars

It's a Mitsubishi version of the Integra. The top trim GPX would be sort of equivalent to an Integra Type R - 199hp at 7500rpm. It also uses a similar 2 profile variable cam scheme as Honda's VTEC.

Compared to the Integra, the engine is a 2.0l V6, so it revs smoother than an I4. You could also get the later models with a 5 speed tiptronic gearbox which I think lets you hold gears all the way to redline and is supposed to be pretty good for an automatic.

Car looks great, very unique and in excellent condition. Proof that good things come to those who wait.

I'm pretty impressed with Zen Autoworks based on their website, and if I was to get another JDM vehicle it would without a doubt be with Zen Autoworks. They are actually honest and if the car has an upgraded speedo (such as a Nismo or TRD 320km/hr speedo) they specifically tell you that the mileage is inaccurate. A lot of sketchy places will sell cars with obviously swapped speedos and try to claim its accurate.

Is it just me or does the paint on the front bumper not match with the rest of the car? Might be the lighting?

Anyway congrats, i've never seen one of those around and it looks really unique. What year is it? Can you share more pictures please?

You are correct, Pretty common with that paint colour, for some reason the front bumpers always fade unevenly to the rest of the car...

On my original post there is a link to a gallery.

    The car is a 94.

Always wanted one of these since Jackie Chan raced one against the R32 GT-R in Thunderbolt.
