As for the time warp people are complaining about, I thought it was pretty clear a huge amount of time passed between episodes (Jon sailed to Dragon Stone, Jorah is mostly healed, etc.) I think that's why they did what they did.

Maybe they saw his progress and let him stay?

Or maybe every story line isn't happening on the exact same timeline? I didn't think it was too bad though, it didn't affect the show or the story line at all really. You can always pick apart little things like this in shows, unless it's so bad that it overshadows the entire show (like TWD) it doesn't bother me too much. They did it between episodes so it wasn't like the very next scene someone appeared in another part of the world.

I don't think it was the Night Watch's intent to send ravens about his death and their mutiny. And I don't think it occurred to them to send Ravens to everyone that Jon's back from the dead. I think the only people that do know, are the people that mattered, really. But yes, it would be cool for everyone else to know he is technically a wight, like Benjen.

I think we all need to suspend a bit of our disbelief regarding the timing. They're cramming a shit pile into the show with limited time to cover a lot of subject. It took Jamie episodes to move battalions in season 2, now he can be mocked by Euron, move a battalion and poison an old lady in 40 minutes... Personally, im loving the pace. They've out paced the books long ago, they need GRR to finish the last book so they can close out the tv series.

From a season of watching Theon get tortured to major shit going down briefly in 10 minutes time of every episode now this season, pretty crazy pace/timeline.

With the next episode being the middle of the season, they're going to outline the crazy shit that will go down in the final 2 episodes of this season.

Sounds like it is running exactly as planned. Very interesting concept, which I sort of can get behind. All the characters have been developed, no need to develop them further. Now its basically a huge race to the climax and the final outcome.

Most TV shows ratings dip as they near the end... and GoT has always had an end date, its not like a perpetual money making machine. So people can really get behind it without growing bored. At the same time, people won't get exhausted watching the same thing over and over for seasons on end.

after the battle of the bastards, i think they're gonna skip most battle scenes until they're actually hugely relevant (killing a dragon, for example). Had they shown the ones last night i think they'd be pretty underwhelming
