Cam Clark did valet service and picked up my truck for service then dropped it back off. No complaints.

Cam Clark. Typically they are awesome on giving you a rental or shuttle service unlike North Star Ford where I bought the truck. They only offer shuttle service within 5km or a bus ticket so I wonder what they offer now during Covid lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They offered valet service on my last oil change but I just waited an 1.5 hrs for it instead as I had stuff to do in Airdrie that day anywaysThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Do they pick up the tab one way at least? lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
After owning this Ford for the last 2 years I can say that Nissan, Lexus and Infiniti spoil you by giving you a free loaner vehicle for the day when getting an oil change lol.

So I started digging into extended warranty today and so far I have pricing from two Ford dealers in Alberta. Waiting to hear back from a US Ford dealership that according to RFD offers ESPs for huge discounts over CND pricing and from Barrie Ford in Ontario which RFD posts say is also very cheap.
Calgary dealership:
5yr 100k $0 deductible - $2,055 + tax
7yr 120k $0 deductible - $3,150 + tax
Edmonton dealership:
5 yr 100 km $0 deductible - $1,975 + tax
6 yr 120 km $0 deductible - $3,050 + tax
CMP Gave me an Uber to and from work last time I took my truck in for a complimentary oil change.
BMW and Mercedes I had to split a smelly van with 6 other people.
It’s a dealer thing not a brand thing.

Petrie Ford in Ontario does online sales for the Ford factory "Premium care" ESP. Let me dig up what they quoted me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Edit, found it:
- 5 year/100,000kms: $1,575
- 6 year/120,000kms: $2,650
- 7 year/150,000kms: $3,980
I also suspect they'd negotiate on that too.

https://www.autoblog.com/2020/09/29/...payload-specs/
Hybrid 430/570
3.5L 400/500
2.7 unchanged.
14,000 towing. 3325 payload.
I’d love a 2.7 hybrid. I think that’s the sweet spot. It would have roughly 355 hp and 470 torque, but be very thrifty.

Does the 5.0 have the same issues as the ecoboosts with timing chain stuff? Does anyone in here have the 5.0 in their F150?
I am already planning my next F150. will be a 2022 with the 3.5L hybrid, with the 7200w generator supercrew and max tow and payload. after that I don't care much. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

500 ft-lbs is beastly. Although, the 420 it used to be and the 470 it is now are both more than nearly anyone can use. I'm having a hard time breaking in my truck hard because I don't like to speed more than 20 over.

I'm excited for the hybrid to be out there, but I don't know yet if it makes sense for me. That's okay, I have a few years to figure that out.

Sucks that it's only drop off now.
According to this thread the cutoff for trucks having the cold start issue vs not having it is a build date of July 10th, 2018:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
"Affects: Some 2017-2018 F-150 vehicles built on or before 10-Jul-2018
Some 2017-2018 F-150 vehicles built on or before 10-Jul-2018 and 2018-2019 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 8-Apr-2019 equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit a ticking, tapping, or rattle type noise from the top front cover area of the engine that last 2-5 seconds on initial start-up after a cold soak. This may be due to a worn variable cam timing (VCT) unit. A TSB is expected to be published 4th quarter of 2019. In the interim, replace all 4 VCT units and update the powertrain control module (PCM) calibration. Do not replace timing chains, tensioners, guides or other timing related components unless inspection clearly identifies a concern. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-01. Claim the labor required to replace VCTs using published labor operations and PCM programming using M-time. Monitor OASIS for updates."
I negotiated the 6yr 120K km's $0 deductible to $2022 + tax from Advantage Ford. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Got US pricing in from Greenfield Ford in Massachusetts that RFD hypes over. Even after exchange rate it looks better than my two qoutes.
PremiumCARE
5 yr / 100K Miles / 160k kms - $1,644 US ($0 deductible) or $2,200 CND taxes inc.
6 yr / 100K Miles / 160k kms - $1,744 US ($0 deductible) or $2,334 CND taxes inc.
7 yr / 100K Miles / 160k kms - $1,884 US ($0 deductible) or $2,521 CND tax inc.
8 yr / 100K Miles / 160k kms - $2.084 US ($0 deductible) or $2,789 CND tax inc.
8 yr / 125K Miles / 200k kms - $2269 US (+ $100 deductible) or $3,037 CND tax inc. + $100 deductible for each repair
Thankfully I have a US Visa so wont be dinged by the credit card exchange rate if I go this route. All you have to do is take a photo of your dash showing mileage, sign a letter stating that the photograph and mileage are true and provide a copy of your registration.

So it looks like advantage is the place to go.
$2022 for 6/120 is great for normal driving habits.
Go the us route for heavy driving.

I reached to them as well and here is their current pricing before negotiating:
- 5 year/100,000kms: $1,675 (+ $230 for $0 Deductible)
- 5 year/120,000kms: $2,220 (+ $305 for $0 Deductible)
- 6 year/100,000kms: $2,155 (+ $230 for $0 Deductible)
- 6 year/120,000kms: $2,750 (+ $305 for $0 Deductible)
- 7 year/100,000kms: $3,040 (+ $230 for $0 Deductible)
- 7 year/120,000kms: $3,800 (+ $305 for $0 Deductible)
When I took it in for the same noise 15k kms back they replaced Camshaft sprockets / VCT Phasers, timing tensioner, cooling wiring harness and thermostat in addition to a pile of gaskets and seals according to the 10 page service receipt. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
