Don’t know what the hell they mean by axle shaft freeplay causing that, that would have to be pretty massive I would think to cause that.

Slip yokes have been a problem on pretty much all F-150s since at least the 11th Gen F150s, could go back further but I don’t know. My 11gen has it bad.

Presents itself usually under coasting then throttle, or from a stop. Audible and physical clunk

As much as I love my ford they just can’t seem to get that right for some reason.

Might not be your issue but that’s my guess

I think I’ll try and swap out the shocks this summer for some blistiens and hopefully that maybe takes care of it. It’s annoying. Nobody else hears but me lol. Although the truck drives just fine so it’s not really causing any issues. 2018 at almost 16k right now

Max tow or FX4? Do they have different shocks?

    Noticed any reception issues?

Exact reason why I've been holding back replacing mine.
No reception issues thus far. Plus, I do just leave the original antenna in the storage box under the back seat just in case. It’s a simple swap over if needed. I’m willing to accept the clearance issue as my truck is standard height and should have many issues since I usually drive my other vehicle downtown. The antenna was starting to scratch my garage door, so that was the main reason I finally made the switch.

On that note what is the actual minimum our trucks can safely clear (stock)? I often park in a parkade downtown where the clearance is 6'6" however the antenna definitely hits. I know the parkade on the West side of Chinook Centre mall is 6'2" and I therefore wouldn't dream of trying to park there but I have seen other half tons parked there...

I don't go in if it's lower than 6'6". Last time I checked, truck height is at 6'4".

I have zero issues in the James Short parkade downtown, or at chinook.

I nearly got stuck at the underground chinook parking lot on black friday. I am fine if I stay on the Nordstrome side but if I try and head west or down another level I'm fucked. I was that asshole that had the parking dudes back me out while stopping everyone else from coming down. With stock tires and a 2" level I've also scrapped my roof on those stupid free space indicators over on the movie theater side going to watch Jurassic Park a few years back. I like the antenna because its a heads up that I'm getting close so I should be careful.

You ever go through the tunnel from the east parkade to the west one?

I will go into the west one from 5th st or what ever road is in the back. I'll go into the east one from McLeod. I once tried to go through the tunnel 5 years ago and the yellow bar bumped my roof. Backed out and never tried again.

yup. and yeah, it is scary as fuck, didn't scrape but 100% sphincter pucker. Full disclosure though, I know for sure I did in my 2012 SCrew, but I can't recall if I have in my 2016 SCrew. But both my trucks are 100% stock suspension wise and has OEM diamater tires and no level kits.

I almost went in that area by accident but i seen the bar and noticed 6'2". I wouldnt mess with anything under 6'6 either.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

I got stuck there with my Land Rover Discovery back in the day, so I learned my lesson and don't take my truck anywhere near that section.
I generally look for at least 6'8. But levelling kit and larger tires on my truck.

I own the affected model year, but have never experienced that before. Wonder what the fix is? Just a reprogram?
