It's performance is special but it's still got the mediocre Civic interior and one of the worst infotainment systems in all of automobiles and it's not pretty to look at. Like the EVO X, STI, Focus RS it's still a flawed car due to the economy car it's based on. Audi RS3 has one of the most brilliant engines in existence but is that a special car? Cars perform so well these days it's hard to separate special from everything else. I think maybe the most special thing about this car is that they attained all that performance without compromising the ride quality of the car which is by most accounts as good as a Golf R. That said you will have a camp of people complaining because of that it's not as raw as previous Type R's.
It's hard to define speciality I suppose. Hell my '08 civic Si was special compared to its competition.
Go sit in a type R, you'll see what I mean. The seats are magic.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."
