Wheel Shopping In Calgary Area

Can any Beyonder chime in on who's got a good selection of truck/SUV rims in house? Really would like to see before I commit to that much cash. Checked out 5 or 6 places but many only have what seemed like limited rims on display. I'm going to keep doing the rounds but any leads would be appreciated.

I don't think any local shops stock that many wheels. I've always looked online for what I want then ordered it.

Exactly...there are too many offset, bolt pattern, finishes, etc. to stock that many wheels.

Either check out pictures online or go see someone at a good shop - like Gary at UrbanX South - and go through a bunch of catalogues. Or shoot him an email with a picture of the style(s) you like and he can get you different brands and pricing options.

Gary is very helpful and they have some in stock too so you can at least look at a certain style in person.

I got some wheels and tires from Innovative Autoworx, and they gave me a reasonable price on the combo I wanted, but they were very unorganized.

Long story short, I saw them more times than I otherwise would have because one wheel came with a flaw (which they were happy to remedy at no charge), but literally every time they told me "we'll let you know when it's here", I had to call them a week or two later only to hear "oh yeah (person x) was supposed to call you" or " oh yeah, that's been here for a week".

Overall, I got what I wanted for an ok price, but I can't wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Hi all thanks for all the leads. I was really hoping to see what I wanted in person and found what I wanted at Mr Detail. If anyone is searching in future 4wheel Parts had a lot of truck rims as well as Innovative. Was really wanting to check out UrbanX but both stores I went to were closed when I stopped by.

Although we are limited to the wheels we have on display, if you do find some online or even at another shop in town we do have very decent prices on them as well as tires to go with. We are a very organized shop with a lot to offer and great customer service.
Either way I just wanted to put it out there so everyone knows urban x is here and slowly expanding.

I just ordered mine from 1010 tire, great pricing, easy to deal with and cheap shipping from Canada so no BS at the border. Tire rack was 3x the shipping cost.

I tried a few local shops as Id prefer to support them but found either they were to busy to return my call or emails or were impossible to deal with as I didnt want a stock size tire...very frustrating for sure.
