Got massively drunk last night by accident.
Barely drink any more (probably average one a week if that). And also down about 40lbs in the last 12 months.
That adds up to overshooting alcohol consumption.
How do you get massively drunk by accident?
Down 40lbs in a year is really good.
Exactly what I thought. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
People who had big titles at a small company (<40 people) and/or an NPO who think they should have a higher title at a large company.
Totally agree. Titles don't' transfer well between dissimilarly sized organizations.
Another peeve is the title of "director" when it means anything other than someone on the corporate board of directors. Just seems confusing.
Director title is a great way to save on salaries for managers… “oh! But look how important your title sounds! Please sign this lowball offer”This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Reminded me of when people insist on using their middle initial on business cards, door placard, etc. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I know lots of places where using middle initial was default corporate policy.
Some names are not that uncommon.
Definitely a peeve for the other thread.

Peeve of the day is businesses that have power assist doors, but the power assist is fucked and you have to use all your strength to open them and get inside to spend your money.
You can tell the managers there use a different entrance.

Having to use hotel wifi because my phone and laptop are too fucking stupid to talk to each other. Data works fine on my phone, hotspot is on, laptop is connected. Should all work. But no, no internet. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Alternatively a phone battery that is just losing percentage by the second, while it's on batt saver mode with all apps are closed, while you're in a foreign city, and left your cable and external battery back in the hotel room so you wouldn't need to walk around with them.
Thank god I got an uber before it died.

I work with a National Sales Team to develop quotations for customers and we're on MS-Teams internally.
*ping*
"You got a sec?"
*ping*
"Quick question for you."
*ping*
"It's about xxxxxxxx."
I don't even read the messages so it doesn't show as read. 6 seconds later he calls me on MS-Teams.......if I was in the office he'd walk over to my desk.
Drives me bonkers people who do this.
EDIT: And it's never a quick question and ends up being a 15-20min IM thread
Stupidity is a disease we all have, it's like a form of brain herpes. Outbreaks will occasionally occur.
