It is sustainable because they are getting more rare. Look at any real collectors car.
How am I crazy? I see no value in an old collectors Porsche. For the same money I'd prefer a new one.

That doesn't make me crazy. It just means I have different tastes than you.

I'm with Berserker on this one.
It's a classic supply vs demand problem right now that's driving the prices up, especially in the US market. There weren't that many 993 Turbos sold in NA.

Yea, the Bad Boys 3.6 turbos are selling for crack money too. But it's not just air cooled Porsches right now, it's all the poster and movie cars from the 80 and 90's. The kids that grew up with them are in their prime earning years, and really fucking up the demand curve. Take a look at Countach prices, it's even more fucked than the Porsche prices haha. Wolf of Wall street didn't help either.

I gathered that. My point was that this type of price inflation is unlikely to be sustainable in the long term.

I wish I had the money to buy the last manual GT3RS...

I would of driven it for a week, parked it and then waited 20 years. It is absolutely insane how much some of these cars can appreciate.

You might not need to wait 20 years. What was a GT3RS 4.0 new? Wasn't long and those were selling for a 30% bump, it might be even more than that now, in only 3-4 years?

The more cars RWB and Singer modify the less stock 964's and 993's there are, that's also a factor.

I love the look of the 993s but not the drive. For that kind of money I would be looking at F cars.
Looking for a new VW? How about a used vehicle? We are Central Albertas #1 source for pre-owned vehicles
I will beat any deal on a new VW for beyonders

Just imagine the value of the car if you stuck in a proper engine like an LS9
