I'm not sure about the quality of these so I am looking for feedback or recommendations on what works well. sound quality and volume are fairly important. gotta be able to hear it over the wind while you're cruising the slopes.
Outdoor Tech CHIPS . Do it! Best ski accessory i have ever bought.

Bought mine at London Drugs a year ago. My only complaint is you cant use SIRI/ Voice controls.

Also on a side note Fernie was really good this weekend. No crazy pow but everything is covered and open now. Anaconda Glades were great.

Big White was awesome yesterday minus the almost zero visibility. Day two today.

my only concern with those is that the speakers look fairly thick. I'm not too sure if they would fit comfortably in the ear pockets of my new helmet. what helmet do you use them with? do you find them bulky at all?

this is what I just got http://www.smithoptics.com/ca/Root/M...D/sizeVariants

as well as these goggles to go with it http://www.smithoptics.com/ca/Root/M...-7/p/IE7DXWH16

SOAB does that helmet have speakers already? The chips are designed to replace current speakers so you will need the side flaps with cutouts for speakers. If that makes sense.

Otherwise I think it should be ok. They are no thicker than the standard speakers in my Red Hi-Fi Helmet. I didn't notice thickness TBH. Battery life is about 2.5 days with moderate volume and constant on-off as I get on the lift to chat.

Looks like Smith already has a solution for you!

awesome! those look exactly like the ones you recommended. my helmet does not have speakers yet but it does have spots ready for them with a zipper to seal in the connecting wires in the back.

i'll have to take a closer look at the ear covers tonight and see how big the actual space is in there.

Louise was a skating rink today. Park was alright but man the runs between the parks were skating rinks and filled with all manners of holiday noobs falling all over the place on the ice sheets. Pretty much made me remember why I don't like going to Louise

Just booked an entire week in big white for February.

Pretty stoked, my sister is up there now and she says the snow is just insane.

Yeah Louise is in need of snow and by the forecast it doesn't look like it'll happen for a bit.

I'll probably stay around Lethbridge for the rest of my holiday break, would love to hit up Castle Mountain.

I'm thinking of heading up to Nakiska for half a day tomorrow. Has anyone been lately and how is it?

I believe it will be open by the weekend as Global News stated.

Which mountain do you think will be least busy tomorrow (New Years Day)? Looking to get out, but worried lines are going to be insane.

The two busiest times of the year for ski hills are Christmas break and Easter/spring break. Hence the black out dates during that time frame.

There's a Groupon out for 50% off snowboard/ski tuning through Royal. FYI.

Royal must be hurting to be putting something like that out. Groupon usually bones the business pretty hard and it's not the kind of customers you usually want. I imagine their wait time for tuning is going to get up there though if they run something like this.

I typically do all my tuning at home because the turn around time is unacceptable. I need my board back within max 2 days. Then again it's so cheap to do it at home once you have the gear I can't really justify taking it to a shop unless it's something like a base grind. Core shots, waxing and edges I'm all over that.
