Serious question. .what the hell happened to ALL the deals that were going to be had with all the layoffs?
There's tons, they just never stay online over an hour so you have to keep your eyes peeled and refresh your searches a few times a day. coming from someone in the industry we have personally bought these vehicles for below wholesale since the recession started (these are more notable pick ups):
2012 continental gt
2013 and 2014 range rovers
911 c4
911 turbo cabriolet
c6 vette
S5
There's literally dozens of dealers that sit on kijiji all day between customers and refresh all cars for sale between $15000 and $100000 and when a deal comes up drive right over and buy on the spot or sight unseen.
$15k? Jeez
Also there's a sale for BMW tomorrow. 340i sedan stick for $60k
^ ohhh that must be why, I'm shopping well under $15,000 hahaha...curious to know, what do you do with it after, sell it to the U.S.? or try and resell it locally?

Are people so desperate that they can't list it a a reasonably low market value and wait for offers for a couple days?
$15000 seems to be the magical number where you start to get decent clients. Below that there's more lowballers, tire kickers, time wasters, etc. not to mention the cars are generally older or higher mileage which means when it goes for amvic inspection there's more repairs necessary.
We're a lot which deals mostly in German, high end or niche vehicles and sells to the general public but lately we've been picking up dozens of trucks that go straight down south.
You'd be amazed what some people will sell vehicles for when they're misinformed on values or simply don't care.
That S5 was a 2010 with 85000km, one owner, accident free, all maintenance records from Glenmore Audi, spare set of winters as well as a roof rack and Thule box and it was purchased for sub $20000
Man this economy truly sucks. I've had my Jeep up for almost over a month now and only a few tire kickers.
If it was this time last year I know it would of been gone by now. Now seems to be the time to buy/sell vehicles if you got something under 20k
The US is starting to slow right down too, less buyer demand is what I've been hearing. Also noticed prices are lower at auction and they're getting pretty picky with Canadian vehicles. So many guys flogging ex-oilfield garbage is turning US buyers sour on our trucks.
Noticing prices for pickups lower at our auctions too.
Your jeep is really geared towards the oil/gas off-road crowd. Since most of them are laid off your going to have to slash your pricing or put it back to stock and sell it to a white girl.Originally posted by Shlade

No offence, but you are asking too much for the jeep. I assume it was a labor of love for you but its priced too high IMO. Maybe at $100 when the riggers get a big pay cheque they would pick it up no problem but the niche market willing to buy a vehicle like that has dried up.Originally posted by Shlade

But you are right. The market has dried up for customers for a vehicle like mine at the moment

Manufacturers are diverting vehicles to much hotter markets. In the case of Acura they have reduced the number of vehicles we will be getting this year. As they are not having any problems finding dealerships willing to pick up the excess, purchase incentives are almost invisible except on the TLX. RDX and MDX are selling like hot cakes and in the case of Honda, try and get a HRV or Pilot. Supply and demand rules once again.Originally posted by JohnnyHockey

Wonder what sort of TLX deals are floating around this year?

Out of curiosity, are you guys sending back all the 2016 Touareg diesels?
The upper-end sports car market seems to be sticky right now. Are people shipping the $150k cars down to the states?Originally posted by roll_over

So sad as they are such good vehicles. I am happy with the Grand Cherokee I bought, but I would have liked the Touareg as well. Feels just a bit more special and higher quality.
Are they just sitting there?Originally posted by Redlyne_mr2

Meanwhile S4 are mid 20's now in used market.
The supercharged V6; not the cheap-to-buy-expensive-to-run V8. So tempting.
