Same thing happened to my sister, she sent the deposit and when it came time to finalize they wouldnt budge with charging her PST. She told them she was not moving forward with it unless the pst was taken off so they sent her the deposit back lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I believe you buy a car in BC, don’t register it, bring to AB and then once registered here you submit an application. Wait a few weeks for PST refund. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I wouldn't wanna touch a repo'ed supercar by a 10 foot pole unless it was dirt cheap or I was a super mechanic and could handle everything myself.
Please but this McLaren and confirm the process for us.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
LoL!
I don’t get this unless it’s a theft recovery... a poor is probably going to baby it vs an ultra wealthy person who will abuse the piss out of it cause it’s disposableThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Meh, I've bought repo cars before, it all depends on the current condition. If the savings is there it's not bad to recondition the car to make everything up to date. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You can do that, but it's an unnecessary complication. As long as you declare that you are shipping the car straight out of the province, you can buy new or used cars in BC and simply not be charged the PST. I've done it both ways. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I bought a car in Feb in BC, waited until sitting with the finance manager before telling him I'm from Alberta and he took care of it no issue, I bet a salesman thinks you're trying to save money on the car so he just shuts it down.
I bought a new car from sask years ago. This was a common thing for them to sell to Albertans. They had the pst exemption form right there for me to sign.
Very simple.
Disclaimer: that was a Saskatchewan provincial form, I don’t know why the other provinces wouldn’t have one - especially the western neighbour to AB.

A McLaren repo in Burnaby is the same as a Lambo repo in Richmond. In order to buy this one would/should become very educated in terms of the common issues for that MY - some of these have transmissions that blow up almost brand new. Having a 50k collision is also questionable UNLESS it was dealt with at a McLaren specialty shop. A1 or Maaco type would immediately relegate the vehicle into the sub 100k price range.
Plenty of dummies around with money to spare and they will buy this JUST because its a McLaren - and then end up holding the bag - smart money will stay away - unless you are Hoovie.

At that price and that it's not a MP4, it's still smart money imo. I think most perspective buyers know it's not a Honda/Toyota...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Hoovie also took his Lambo to get painted at Maaco btw....

FYI, if anyone has a problem with PST in BC, dont talk to the sales guy, just go straight to Finance or Sales manager. They do not need a waiver signed.
haha, had to check out the video - it was just a front bumperThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Personally i wouldnt have them paint a Trim piece if i have a Lambo... lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Maaco paints as many cars per week as nuts that Dr. Crouse snips. They know how to paint.
