Interesting comments on radar enforcement, any thoughts or comments from people who know this technology better than I do?

I read that article earlier today. They named a lot of provinces but not Alberta in it so not sure how relevant it is for us.... It is interesting story tho. Maybe they can use it for a class action against photo radar

The only take away I have is that Alberta is getting ticketed a lot more than Ontario.

If you break it down by population:

Quebec: 1 ticket per 14 people
Ontario: 1 ticket per 23 people
Alberta: 1 ticket per 12 people

Everyone is going laser eventually anyway. Any fallout from this will just speed it up and render more radar detectors obsolete.

Let's just leave radar alone, much easier/cheaper to protect yourself from radar than laser

Nope. He told me I was going 53 in a 50. I said "You're going to give me a ticket for going three over the limit?!"

It was the end of the month.

Can you show a screen shot of your ticket at 3km over? Everyone who says they got a ticket for less then 5km over can never produce any evidence of it.

    At 3km over that's insane...

Had you been going 49 you would have received a ticket for impeding the flow of traffic
