Well they haven't really exited yet, they've moved into the Transition Period. This is the time where the UK and EU and others can negotiate new future and new deals. So for the rest of the year (or a year or two beyond that if they agree to extend the Transition Period), it's business as usual. UK is still a part of the single market and customs union, labour movement is the same, UK still contributes to the EU budget (just doesn't have a seat at any EU office anymore), and the UK is sill bound to EU law they were before entering the transition period.
We won't really know if they're sinking into the sea until Jan 1, 2021 (provided there isn't an extension).
