Yea they've started to sweep a few roads here... that being said car is wrapped and im generally pretty careful trying to stay back from cars changing lanes and such to save my windshield. Oh and no Deerfoot.
FYI they've updated the street sweeping map with 2021 dates here: https://maps.calgary.ca/StreetSweeping/
Might take out the BMW but then it snowed.....
I can't get myself to wrap the NSX.... Always feel like something that old should be left untouch.. and I only drive it 500km a year....
Shak., I don't know why you'd wrap your cars... Keeping it for 6-12 months that's kind of a waste of $4000. It likely won't hurt your trade value.
This is as close to a weekend cruiser as I can get. No wrap on it’s immaculately painted plastic.
I usually don’t do full wraps actually for that exact reason but I always do full front end on higher-end vehicles which is what I wanted in the GTS. Got quoted $2200 for just that since the front is so long and for a grand more could do the entire car so decided to go that route. Plus always wanted to try the stealth look. Also, the plan this time is to keep this (I know, I know) until I can move to a proper supercar like McLaren or something so that all went into the thought process for a full wrap this time. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Wrap or not, rocks typically pierce through the ceramic coating and film. So film may reduce the amount of damage, but YRMV. Ultimately it's what your comfort level is with it all.
I've never had that, and I wrap my whole car as well. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I’d be curious which off brand Cellophane you’re using that rocks will pierce. I’ve had ppf on my cars for 15 years and not had this happen. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Rocks will shred vinyl but that’s not what we’re talking about here.
Raw doggin feels and looks best.

Ditto. Never had a rock or anything "pierce" any wrap I've had.
I feel like it would take a brick hitting 3M to actually pierce it, and even then, probably just a debt.

My car is fully wrapped and have a few tears from rocks. It’s a car, who cares, meant to be driven, not parked.
I'm just glad you did something that wasn't murdered out. It's not 2012 any more. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Only had it I think 2 years. Got it running last year. Bought it as a heap of parts and a dream. Really excited to drive it this year. Getting the kinks worked out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That lotus is really something. I was looking for one over fall and winter until I realized the lady needs a new car before I get a new toy.
I have around 3 holes in my 3m, but it's also 3m circa 2006, so it's like... first gen stuff. I should really have it replaced, but removing and rewrapping an entire car is $$$.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

And to answer your question, whole car has XPEL Ultimate with Opticoat Pro+ coating. And in some areas there is Vinyl for a color change, then XPEL, and then ceramic coating on top of that.
If you drive often and meet a sharp rock, no film will save it. I experienced it myself and pros will even mention it can happen. As I said YRMV and depends on your comfort level with it all. It's your car, do whatever. I drive mine summer and winter.
