    What a wonderful picture!
I dislike those cars so much and yet find myself respecting them in so many other ways. I assume it's because I dislike Porsche in general, but really like old VW's and I think these embody more of that.
An excellent friend of mine has been dragged deep into the Porsche scene and for years he's been quietly employed as an expert coach and mechanic building $1MM Porsche race cars for Sovereign Cup and other obscure projects. We were talking recently about how the PCA is essentially this mafia of a community that's similar in many ways to Mormons. They're quite big, very well connected and they look out for one another, vehemently. Many of the members are insufferable cunts, but there are some who are just great people who are enthusiastic about doing their thing and it shouldn't be that hard to find those folks. It makes me seriously consider buying one of these damned things and trying to find some camaraderie. Fuck golf memberships for networking. Buy a Porsche and join PCA!
I got a line on what I'm told is a Cayenne Turbo S... Diesel. I cannot fathom how they put those monikers together but it makes my WANT meter move. I can feel it in my plums! It's becoming a need...

I mean I became a PCA member just by taking a Porsche Instructor’s school, and I can’t even afford a 944. But yes I’m an insufferable cunt too.

Come to think of it, I might have also joined years ago to do one of their AutoX events at the old Namao airport.

I used to run those until we couldn't go to the base anymore.

Neat! That surface sure was tough on tires but it was always a great time.

Is it an everyday car pic if it's not the whole car?

Got a call from my dad to bring my tools down to Crowfoot because he came across a lady who needed help changing a flat tire.

Nope, that's not holding air anymore. But she was a lovely lady and I'm glad we could get her on her way.

But man these SUVs with the suspended spare in the rear, what a pain in the ass. I had to change one on my wife's minivan a few years ago too, and I thought the same thing then. It's becoming harder and harder for the average person to even change a tire on the side of the road. God help you if you're in -30C, you might as well start walking. I bet less than half the SUV drivers out there even know how to get their spare out, nevermind actually changing it.

Flat bed or AMA for a lot of situations honestly. Though good on ya for helping. It takes a village.

Truth. She tried to pay me but I just told her to do something nice for someone else and call it even. We all need a little help sometimes; I've been in places I needed a helping hand too.

Those cable carriers for suspended spares always get rusted to shit and packed with mud and dust in our climate. Yuck.

Yah fuck those things. I am probably going to have to cut the cable on another truck because of this.

Did my bmw SUV in -32 last winter. Definitely cold but do able with rests to warm my hands (no gloves).
The bmw setup uses plastic when they can do won't seize like a metal cable. It's actually smartly designed but worth figuring out how to use it in your driveway.
