Granted the 944s have been nearly down to the tub for rebuilds, but here's my list of high mileage Germans:
1987 944: 500K and counting
1988 944TS: 230K and counting
2002 E46 M3: 220K sold
2008 Touareg: 262K and counting
And pictures because it's a picture thread:
I've got an R550 with 335000kms on it that was my daily up until December. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don't think my car is unreliable but well-driven so it's due for stuff to go bye-bye.
It's a fun car and right size so I plan to keep it as long as I can; definitely can't afford post-inflation financing on cars I like.

edit: I'd also like to add I never used the word "unreliable". I said "maintenance headache", which I stand by. If you put the $ into maintenance, they're perfectly reliable.

I sold my wife’s Mercedes SUV in 2019 with 350,000 km. Had it since 40,000 km…that thing was ridiculously low maintenance compared to everything we had during that time! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I bought my M5 at 198k and supercharged it while all the forum nerds were telling me to replace 20 grand worth of bullshit for preventative maintenance first, drove it for another 40k supercharged and sold it. Only things I ever did were fluids, tires, and mods. It never asked anything more of me.
I still prefer forum car advice over fakebook car advice. But yeah, you sure get some interesting opinions from the nerd crowd.
No, this is my other old German car. But we're talking about ~15 year old vehicles right now and parts just wear out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The X5 i bought earlier this year really is FULLY LOADED though not a single option missing including infrared night driving
75K is my mileage limit for German cars, after that I stress too much. Granted I owned an '07 335 way back when, which was a poster child for all the typical N54 issues.
