Do you set a value, and then just enough raffles are sold to get to that value? Or is it a time period based system and you could potential get more or less than your ask? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Typically, if the spots don't get filled, the draw doesn't happen. There's mechanisms to fill the spots too, like entering a mini-raffle where you win spots in the main one. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I’ve never heard of this Facebook raffle thing, I think that means I am winning.

There are various "groups" that do waffles/raffles whatever you want to call them. They all charge something to raffle off someones item, could be a flat fee, could be a small %, could be a couple of free spots on the item or any combination of those. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Say someone has a 20K car being raffled off. It would look something like 220 spots @ $100 per entry. The extra 2k going to the person/people that run the group.
People comment what number(s) they want, once all spots are filled the person running the group will create a video, usually roll a die or some other form seeing how many times they'll generate a number.
Say they roll a 2 off of a die. They then open up https://www.random.org/ or whatever site they use (most groups use the paid option of the random number generator) and enter number 1-220 and the 2nd number the generate will win the prize.
Thanks! Yea a bit sad to see it go, its been a blast to drive. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Also sounds like Facebook is catching on. Soemthing about so many people commenting the word "paid" or "sent", it was making the threads disappear.
Not sure how long they will last for, but sure is fun!
