75 coming to the US. I bet the rest are going to China. You might see 5 in Canada.
I don't understand the demographic for this. Basically a MB die hard. Everyone else with that kind of money is probably looking at Bentley or Rolls.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
I can see flipstah rolling in this ride in 2026 give or take lol

Polarized opposite end of enthusiasts
MB has been trying to break into that segment for a while now. Their first time around they lost something like 1/2 mill per car sold before they ended the Maybach project. This time around they're spending a lot less per car and selling them as Mercedes Benz Maybachs. MB simply needs to keep pushing forward in this segment if they want to compete with the big boys.Originally posted by benyl

I clearly bought the wrong vehicle.
What is the point of having a backseat in that car?

I was blown away at how little room there was in the S coupe/cab back seats for how huge the car is. I was considering a S550 4M Coupe as a single year round car and I couldn't even get a child in the back comfortably back there.Originally posted by sputnik

I think the issue is that at that price point, people would rather have Bentley's or RR's as they are more exclusive. Maybach's are exclusive but they are still sort of seen as higher end MB's at the end of the day while others specifically only make top tier, higher end vehicles. If I am spending that kind of money I rather have the other two than Maybach's as well.
Honestly if I was to drop 300k+ on on a car this thing would be so far from my radar it isn't even funny. Full 70k premium over an S65 as well...
The only thing this really has going for it is subtlety, being "just a Mercedes" ( until you step down on the fun pedal and the V12 screams that is). Maybe relatively good reliability compared to competition?
At the end of the day it still has the bones of a 120k S coupe.

The RR's are based on the 7 series BMW, and the Bentley is pretty much an Audi RS7 with a luxury package. Nobody is fooling me there, either.
Are there any Maybachs in Calgary? I see two Bentleys (husband and wife) in my area weekly, never seen a Maybach. I was excited to see parked on my street a Phaeton last summer, Sask plates of all things. Unicorn cars.
I've only seen Maybachs on the road in LA and NY. Never seen one in Canada before.
