Auto Obsessed Show Prep Detail - 1969 Dodge Superbee

Auto Obsessed performed a light Show Prep Detail to this 1969 Dodge Super Bee. The exterior underwent a full decontamination wash including iron and tar removal. The wheels, wheel wells, doorjambs, exhaust, and engine bay were extensively detailed with a host of OBSSSSD Premium Products. The paintwork underwent a light multistage paint correction in order to improve the paintwork while staying within a strict time limit. We then finished the vehicle in Swissvax OBSSSSD Luxury Carnauba Show Wax. Swissvax OBSSSSD Luxury Carnauba Show Wax is a high Carnauba content show wax containing 68% (by volume) of yellow, non-bleached, Grade One Carnauba wax from northeastern Brazil.

BEFORE - Pre wash inspection

PROCESS - Foaming the vehicle with Citrus Wash and Gloss to prepare it for decontamination. Then we move into decontamination where we remove iron and tar from the surface of the paint by using Iron X and Tar X.

PROCESS - We are washing the engine bay using soft brushes, mild cleaners, low water pressure, filtered rinse then blow drying with the Metro Master Blaster.

PROCESS - After polishing the bottom section in this image, we can see improvement in how the reflection of the light looks. The top still looking dull or blurry, while the bottom has a clearer reflection.

When you guys wash an engine bay like that with no plastic covers, is there anything that you cover with plastic bags etc? Or do you just stick with low pressure to avoid damage?
