How have the coaches not been fired already? That really amazes me.

Totally agree. This roster should be competing for first in the division and this coaching staff doesn't have what it takes to bring this team to the next level. For example, in these past two games, an engaged coach would've called a timeout to at least calm the troops down and possibly prevent things from falling apart even more, but this coaching staff doesn't believe in using timeouts for whatever reason. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I sold my tickets for a loss last night to go sub for Volleyball instead. Really happy with my choice.
This core is fundamentally flawed. I just don't think they have the mental fortitude to be a contender but it's too late to overhaul the personnel. A coaching change has to be in the works or it's Treliving who needs to go.
Fire the coach again? These players play no responsibility in this recent slide? All teams go through ups and downs, we happen to be in a downturn right now. That being said, the fashion in which we are losing these last few games is extra disheartening. The largest flaw with this team is that the core guys can't stay away from the bars, which is clearly taking a toll on their on ice focus.
What can you do about that? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Gut the team and rebuild? It's too late for that. We're stuck with the core we have for the most part as no team is going to swap their good, well performing forwards with our forwards for kicks. All you would get is problem players, older guys or prospects and picks. None of which would help right now.
All you can do is try to find a coach that can get the most out of these players as possible and tweak the core here and there. Personally I'd like to see Brodie gone for some scoring help, he's been exposed since being moved away from Gio as a mediocre #4 and I feel like Andersson is ready to take his spot.

Got a win.
I mean those losses suck. But generally I'm happy with our game this year. If they keep it up we should be in the playoffs.
But man when Johnny puts that effort into skating he is that much more dangerous.
2 regulation losses in the last 14 games.
8-4-2 I don't think that record says 'let's blow it up'.
Big road trip here. Let's hope they keep up the great road games.

When does it end? Keep hiring and firing coaches? Sometimes you need a big shakeup in the locker room. I am not entirely sure that is the right move in this case though, i think if they keep pushing that they will be just fine. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Didn't watch the game. Assuming it was a good win.
Well, we had two challenges/reviews go in our way and we're back in a playoff spot. It could have been a lot worse. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Although i think the game winner was a high stick, even if the league admitted that it hit Gaudreau's stick it would have been tough to conclusively state that his stick was above the cross bar.
Good win for the guys... do we still need to fire Gulutzan or is everyone alright now?
EDIT: Forgot about Kane's late goal so the goal i'm referencing was in fact not the game winner, but rather the Flame's second of the game.

It's pretty well balanced the last week, Vegas wins when Flames lose, and Flames win with Vegas losing. Working out well. Although the Vegas losses have been way more entertaining than the Flames losses. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The goal was and is still credited to Stone. Pretty sure the league missed it hitting Johnny's stick. Regardless, the puck continued in an upward trajectory after hitting Johnny's stick, so as such it must have been under the cross bar. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I know, that is why i mentioned if the league had admitted it hit is stick, it most likely still would have been a good goal. Big win, hopefully the boys continue to gain some traction down the stretch. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
After the nightmare travel day it'll be good for the confidence that they got those points. Would be awesome if we could keep rolling. Would hate to come home outside of the playoffs.

Getting scored on first shot on goal. So that’s what it’s like being an oilers fan.
Edit - thank god that feeling only lasted a minute.
