So this is pretty cool. Always wanted to see this happen and it finally does.

36 year old accountant, emergency backup goalie, 2nd one to ever get ice time (first guy got a whopping 8 seconds). Plays 14 mins, 7 saves on 7 shots, 0.00 GAA 1.00 SV% in a 6-2 win. Gets first star.

Entire united center chanting his name. Insane. His saves looks pretty hilarious, but he made some really good saves including a cross ice pass opportunity by the Jets.

Yeah, I caught the highlights! He robbed Stastny pretty good on that shot. I love it when these sort of things happen, like when the Capitals' webmaster had to suit up as the backup in emergency a few years back (didn't get to play though).

I was watching the third people. The Hawks played defense like it was Game7 and they had a 1 goal lead.

No shit. Nobody is saying he was a game changer. It was just cool to see a Joe Average live out his dream.

Foster coming in made that the most entertaining game we've ever lost. The Jets fans were rooting for him as well!

Funny side note, the reason he got to play was that their starter (Forsberg) somehow managed to injure himself during pre-game hallway warmup soccer, so when Delia went down he was the only guy available. Best night of that guy's life, haha.

I wasn't shitting on him. I thought it was cool that Hawks were working hard for the guy.

Maybe I'm just a little saddened to the official end of an era, but I really wish that at least in their pending retirement that people could show a little class towards two of the classiest players in hockey and stop calling them things like "sisters".

Most hockey fans are totally classless. Don't act surprised.

I don't like the Canucks, Oilers and the Ducks. Did bump into one of the Sedins few years back at a Wholefoods. I didn't chat him up but let him do his shopping. Seem like nice guys on and off the ice so no hate toward them, unlike Kessler, Cooke, Burrows, Bieksa, Kassian etc.

I'm actually a little disappointed they're retiring. The league doesn't have enough classy, honest players like them. I thought they could have actually played a couple more years but I get why they're bowing out.

Oh shit, Karlsson took the game puck with him after the Jets-Sens game tonight. Maybe his last home game for the Senators.

(Some are reporting it's Fan Appreciation Night and they auction off all the game stuff, but it's more fun to speculate wildly.)
