Own a business and live 3/4 of the year in Toronto, and spend the other 1/4 in Nelson BC. (hoping to move that to 1/2 and 1/2 soon)
DOES ANYONE NEED A GO-JUICE?
Why all the way to Nelson from Toronto? Just curious because the wife and I have thought about buying something in cottage country, but can't justify it living in calgary. Even though we both have tons of family and friends there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
oh boy, how do you put up with the hippes and the 'pace of life'? I spent a week there and the skiing was great, food and mountains were great, but ready to either drown myself or the hippies

2002 WRX - to be sold

@adamc is Nelson still super against dogs in their downtown core? Took a holiday about 5 years ago there I remember the no dog signs up all over the place.
I just love it there. One of the last cheap(ish) places to buy land in southern BC. Ontario has never really clicked for me, I like it a lot here and the work is great, but BC is home. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
@g-m motorcycles, boat, swim, camp, dirtbike, etc. etc. I grew up in the Okanagan. Toronto provides a really nice balance when I get tired of the slow pace of life.
@nzwasp I had never noticed the dogs thing, I don't spend much time in "town" tbh

Shop owners marched on city hall to get rid of that, it’s cool now. Whole thing was a move to get dubstep hippie homeless folk out of town so that sweet tourist money wasn’t scared off, if memory serves they also banned drum circles, busking, etc. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. lol, this thread is now wonderfully derailed.
also thank you for the heads up 89coupe, I've been living in BC and been going to the Kootenays for almost 30 years now, but I appreciate the warning on the winters.
It does get socked in and very dark there, but that's showbiz baby. I love it. Town is like a snowglobe in the winter, so pretty.
