I think I missed something here when I was in a meeting. Did we decide that Prince Rupert and Kitimat are part of the lower mainland? Or that they were just not desirable for some reason? I was under the impression that both of those were excellent deep-water ports suitable for large vessels.

Wrapping yourself up in a bubble fucks your head.

Here is reality of the protests today.

70% of Canadians are so sick of these antivaxer separatists, they say "Time for talking is over!"

Well if half means we get the top half and not the eastern half, sure.

Still we will need some rail systems and major terminals out there as well.

Oh that's what you mean. I did not understand that at all. I agree the eastern side of BC has no ocean access.

Eastern half of BC is basically AB. We are politically align. But the communists are the one hoarding the shore.

I'm less concerned about the coastline issues as some.

It will come down to whether BC wants access to the Canadian domestic market (and give versa) as much as Alberta wants access to the coast.

An Alberta separation would turn Canada into a one ocean country, just with different oceans for different populations.

There is always the option to join the states and just use their costal access, seems an easy win to add Puerto Rico as a blue state, and Alberta as a red/purple state

Honestly, we should just give the separatist assholes saskatchewan. Ship em all there, we'll keep a 50 mile corridor around trans Canada.

    Life would be good!

I agree with this. Any time you get a group opposing the "norm", they have to speak loudly to gain any traction. The more the public disagrees, the louder they need to speak to get noticed.

Unfortunately, once one is figuratively screaming their head off, they can easily be viewed as extremist and not listened to by all but the staunchest followers. Unfortunately, those who launch such campaigns are usually in the wrong, so that works out well for the rest of us.
You watching CBC? It's nothing close to extremist. These are normal people that don't want mandates. That's it. Like any reasonable person. Somehow the rest of the world knows this and is mocking Canada for thinking they're extremists (including foreign liberals!) but many folks haven't clued in that Trudeau is lying his face off and the shitty media is repeating it. You don't have to take anyone's word for it though - go check out Viva Frei's raw unedited livestreams and make your own judgment. You'll see that all of these people claiming it's extremist nazis are living in the twilight zone.

It's not against the norm though. Most Canadians agree that the mandates have to go now. 54% as of last poll.

Succumbing to tyranny and forfeiting your rights doesn't work so well for the rest of you, regardless of the issue.

Don't feel bad. Its a very small, but very loud minority. Facebook and social media amplify the tiny group. I was seeing at least 20 "pro convoy" ads on facebook per night last couple weeks. There is massive foreign funding of this separation movement.

There are millions of hardworking, rational minded people in this province. The "problem" is, these nice people are quiet, and the deplorables are VERY loud.
Couldn't the same be said about BLM and other social justice warriors?

No, because deep down we know structural racism is wrong. Those groups have a lot more quiet support than they know.
