OK thnx!. She is a Shaw customer, so I think I will contact them. Does she need a big internet plan to have the $0 mobile plan?

Nope, just need to be a Shaw customer. Look up one of their authorized dealers, can bring in any phone and they'll set up the plan.
We went to one of those random cell shops located in a Superstore, was pretty painless.
Ok. Thnx.

Anyone know if Eastlink provides mobile coverage in Calgary area?
Based on their maps it would be roaming off other providers towers, anyone tried it?

I live in the boonies and they are the only wired ISP option. Wife wants to try getting a tv subscription again, to get HGTV and slice. Eastlink offers bundles of mobile, tv and internet.
I am leaning towards keeping current setup and trying Juice IPTV instead. Call me cheap, but $100+ per month for tv sub, and having to watch shitty commercials, seems ludacris.

Ok, that's not as insane as it appeared. I have nothing helpful to add though.

Their free credit includes overages too. I’ve gone over for 2 months now and both times credited. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I think most of their plans limit to "3G Speeds" which really just means download and upload speeds of up to 3 Mbps.
As a long time user of Public Mobile "3G Speeds" You really dont notice unless your trying to watch HD YouTube or hotspot. Otherwise the latency is still LTE low and web browsing feels fast.

When my main line was with Fido, it was at full LTE speeds. My tablet plans are also at LTE speeds. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Edit: Just read the fine print for new customers, scratch everything above apparently.
Shit my company may be closing the USA division. Maybe I can get off my grandfathered plan and save a few bucks.

Want to stay with Rogers and got offered infinite plan. 20gb for $80 for 5g. No overages So I hit 20gb and then it goes to lte or 3G?
I never use that much data. I was on 10gb +5gb bonus for $65 but that 5gb bonus got cut this month for whatever reason.
I only logged into check cuz I got a text saying I hit 75% of my data and that never happens.

Pay more for something you will never use? Sounds like a bad value. Could you get 15 gb for $65?
