Perhaps the second best show of all time. This is exciting. (Breaking Bad can also make that claim).

Love Deadwood!
oh this is awesome. I need to rewatch the show as I can barely remember it now.
You sir, are in for a treat then. I re watch it every year, at most every 2nd. As Buster said, on most people's top 10, if not top 3 list. If you have Amazon Prime and a VPN you can watch it streaming on the US Amazon prime site. IIRC it's elsewhere too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
For as long as this was in development (and development hell), I'm very pleased that the Deadwood tv film has happened. I'm hoping it leads to a possible restart or even a series of long form episodes, or even more TV films.

Must. Have. More.
Anyone else watch the Deadwood TV film tonight? The characters/actors seemed to have aged a lot more than the 10 years in the show and 13 in reality, hah.
Spoiler:
The opening scene with Jane reminded me so much of a previous season's opener with her yelling at the horses/coach going by "cock-shhhuckers!!" as she was passed on face first on her horses neck, hahaha.
So damn good. Just hearing the intro song into a well done movie/long episode to update and close out all the characters was awesome. Bit of a walk down memory lane mixed with some new yet old drama to wrap it all up, really well done but definitely makes me miss it again, the dialogue and characters are top notch.
Looks neat, no idea on the original. Can I go into it with no back story?
ahh you sure could but I wouldn't overly recommend it, this "movie" is more a homage to the fans of the show as it got cancelled and never had an ending...to which this movie essentially is.
I'd watch the show first, only 3 seasons sadly, but they are awesome if you like great dialogue, characters and the western genre although it's not much of a cowboy show.
