I know, I've had to sign these before. But it was always a contract between a dealer and me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I guess the devil is in the documentation details.
Uh... didn’t the dealerships themselves do 6 month leases on truck to capitalize on sending them south??
GM: "You will NEVER be able to buy a GM vehicle again!"
Me: "ok"

They were doing the same thing with C7 Corvettes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
LoL, exactly. Isn't there a network of scalpers buying these cars from the first owners legitimately in Canada and then they sell it off to USA/China/UzbekistanThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
GM and Ford both require 6 months AND 12k km for warranty to be valid in the USA. If the vehicle is registered in the US very quickly they do see that and likely investigate. They have a long list of “exporters” etc who are blacklisted from purchasing, however the dealer also needs to do their checks during a sale to make sure they aren’t selling to someone who is already listed.
Lately I have not been able to get warranty on any FCA trucks entering the USA either regardless.
Yes of course, I wouldn't be surprised if any manufacturer that has their high demand vehicles scalped does the sameThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
When people buy these vehicles they sign a non export agreement, if that agreement it broken by the customer they have every right to black list that client.
Who do they think they are? Calgary Subaru?

hahaha ya ok.. I don't thinkg RurJur and ES's relationship has changed.
Anybody pick one of these up? How you liking it?
I’ve been an import guy my whole life but these are really speaking to me lately. Went to the dealership and they said all allocations to 2024 are spoken for and just need to put your name on a list for when/if people back out of their order.
Yeah, people are caught up in a frenzy and the dealers can’t even guess their allocations. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I suppose “sold out until 2024” is a guess.
The beauty of the GM dealer network is any (ANY) dealer can order corvette, Even specialty ones.
I’d say try some small town dealers, get on their list.

They seem to be everywhere now. Last weeks trip to and from red deer I counted 5 of them on the road.
Exterior, looks awesome. Interior, looks great in photos, feels poorly built in person. Haven’t driven one so no clue what they’re like.

I don't love the way they look in person. That design won't age well.
