100% when i move im getting irrigation. I've been poverty irrigating with impact sprinklers and connectors, but its a lot of work even with a timer.

If you care about your lawn at all, you need a water timer. Nobody should be watering by hand.

you don't even need irrigation installed. $35 amazon water timer and a hose is plenty fine. Set it to run every morning, and move it every evening, and you'll cover the whole lawn.

You're the man now, dog. I don't love the idea of leaving a hose out all day, but this might be a decent option to save some time / sanity until I can get irrigation in.

Our dock gets hot on the feet on hot days, so I had the irrigation guys setup a zone that sprays down the dock for 10 minutes.

Ok so setup the oto, initial setup is easy. Setting up the zone was a little clunky just because the controls were confusing but I got it figured out lol. Seems cool, you can demo the zone and see where it will water. It wants to water 3 mornings a week at 6am, but I might bump it up. The lawn gets seriously roasted out back. I guess we’ll see, don’t know how else to review it yet.

Only thing I’m worried about is it getting stolen. I screwed it to a patio column with the bracket, then some steel strapping so it will be harder/take longer to snipe if someone tries. Any other thoughts on this are welcome.

Does it covers the whole yard? Do you know what is the max Spray Distance?

30’, so far it reaches what it can see in my case. But my yard is long and narrow and L shaped.

My yard is not that big and seal on the timer is broken and it is leaking water , so thinking of going this route.

Free fertilizer for the lawn. Not so great for veggie gardens.

This is my current setup. This is the only automated watering system i have ever installed and it is by far the highest quality system that i have ever installed.

Y splitter valve, water hammer arrestor from crapazon, and rainbird timer from crappy tire. Simple sprinkler and dedicated hose.
