Good tip. And the whole story fits what I know of the customer service system.

Yeah, super frustrating... I shouldn't need a different email to access each sim card I use. There should be a family "account". Who only has 1 sim card these days?

Yeah, it's not an accident. The limitations are supposed to guide you to Telus to pay more for a family plan.

Oooh, thanks for the heads up! I switched to the 20GB 5G/$34 plan from the 15GB 4G/$40 plan I was on.

Just curious - all those old 2gb Christmas bonuses now show as cannot be combined since my summer plan change. Not that it really matters but curious if everyone is getting that?

Switched my wife from her previous $40 4g plan to the black friday $34 5g plan.

referral still is https://publicmobile.ca/en/ab/plans?referral=88M4Y9 if anyone needs it. I think it gives $10 off right now.

I'm not getting that. All my old bonuses still show as active. I may never use them, as I don't know how I could use that much data.

If I can get the eSim to work with the missus' phone, I'm going to put it on the $34 Black Friday plan if the coverage works in Sask and on the Trans Can highway as she drives between Calgary and Regina 4-5 times per month. She has the most recent Iphone SE on Sasktel, and the plans on Sasktel that she is/has been on are literally double, if not close to triple the cost of Public's $34 plan. I'll use your referral link ES.

edit- It no like her IMEI, it failed their eSim check...weird. Anyhow, 2 days to get a physical sim card from them, so hopefully before this weekend or that deal expires. Good times, Sasktel sucks a big one anyhow.

edit2 - Yeah Extraslow, I figured that with the Telus coverage, their app shows all thumbs up in that respect. Just the stupid eSim won't work, and I've never tried using one before, and have read on various forums about the iPhone SE being a PITA to get set up using one. NBD, just try it with the physical sim card when it shows up here at my father's place.

I might switch my phone to it as well, I remembered that I'm on month to month and no contract right now, and paying $95 per month with Sasktel's gay plan that is literally the same benefits that this 34 dollar plan has. Sasktel's "Promo" plan, their big sale, is $85 for 45gb of data, compared to Public's $40 for 40gb, which is over 2x the price for only 5gb more data. El oh El. I was paying $10 more and never use more than 15 or 20gb of data on the Sasktel plan, and it was a 40gb limit through the contract IIRC. Lame, but Sasktel always is.

It's Telus network, since it's a Telus company. So, however Telus works out there.

I hope this deal lasts until New Year... I'm not paying for my plan right now which is why I don't want to switch. But by New Year, my plan goes back to $45/month, so I totally want to switch to Public then!

On Public's website, it shows as a "promotion" and not just a Cyber Monday thing, so it gives me some wishful thinking we may see something good for Boxing Week or something...

All sub brands are advertising this since Sat. Don't know who started it but created queues at all cell phone shops like 50 deep.

Youngest lost their flip-phone. Handy being on prepaid plan, don't have to worry about a stranger picking up the phone and somehow racking up charges. Just locked the account while we search the house for it, I mean, I'd hate to pay an extra month of $15 for no reason, lol!

Also, two more of you maniacs have used my wifes code, man her shit is getting cheap. Paying $17/mo for her $34/mo plan.

One was likely me when I setup my wife’s new plan with Public. I then used her referral code for mine.

Yeah, if you have more than one line in the household, you obviously want to refer yourself as much as possible.

New Public mobile deal. $40 for 75gb with CAN-US (free US roaming). Looks like they have a $34 plan /w 50GB and free US roaming as well for new activations.

Nice, went from a $50 dollar, 40 GB 5G Can/US plan (with $7 of rewards) to a $40 75GB 5G can/US plan (and the same $7 of rewards). Bring the total for my family of 4 to $92/mo with tax.
