With enough negativity going around, here's some POSITIVE news from this fiasco:
Apparently SK is going back to normal.

    SARS protocols helped immensely.

Isn't it uh, um, true, uh that he has a legitimate speech impediment? Honest question...or has that been denied. If true, you guys are dicks.

I'm not a Con voter, but I can't help but think the Cons maybe would've instituted a travel right from the beginning and maybe even shut out borders.... but on the other hand, watching the Republican response, which was basically protect the economy over people at all costs, makes me think the Cons would've dragged this out even longer than the Li s are for fear that them and their cronies would lose too much money.
I would hope that at no point in all of this is Trudeau actually making decisions. Considering we haven't heard much from the Conservatives, I'd assume this is a joint effort behind the scenes where every one is suggesting what to do while trying not to get their name attached to it if it goes poorly. It's a minority government so it's not like in the US where one party can simply dominate the other in a case where this much is at stake, if the Cons thought this was being done catastrophically wrong, they'd be singing it from the mountain tops

They are. You just aren’t listening to them lol

McKay also sends out a daily email blast to CPC members lambasting the Trudeau governments response.

It's somewhat by priority. I want to say healthcare facilities > community. Hers probably got expedited (ordered STAT) as she's greatly involved on this.

Turns out its very dependent on where you get tested. One of the folks got their results in one day (and was most recently tested), while other two are still waiting for theirs.

Wow, seems abrupt, wonder if it's important.
BC is doing their update now and Toronto doing one too. So I suspect it will have to wait until those are over.

From what I have read, a viable vaccine is expected to take 12-18 months to be ready. Then they need to mass produce it, and administer it.

Is that "soon enough"? Can countries survive one to two years of lockdown?
We will see community immunity as fast as we see community infection - almost by definition. (Minus those that ded).

Also: I believe we will have a good anti-viral cocktail available sooner than we think. I believe we will see mortality rates (maybe not total deaths) go down over the summer, in combination with the data that seems to indicate that hot humid climates slow the rate of infection.

Also: Hard to really predict, but we will get a vaccine sooner than they are suggesting. November?

BC schools now closed. I continue to work though have now changed to 1/2 day only and am doing telephone/virtual visits whenever possible. I'm wearing a separate set of clothes to office, and then change into scrubs. My clothes come off in the garage on arriving home, then I go straight to the shower in the basement. I have a new born at home. Not taking any chances.

Cases in physician population are rising. Scary.

Self isolating in the van. I’d love to get pulled over right now. I’d request to give a breath sample.

my dad is arriving back from Arizona (by car) today around dinner. My mum has been back for about 10 days.

Has anyone seen a good protocol on how spouses are supposed to handle the 14 days isolation? I mean techniques on how to do it properly?

You either both isolate, or don't bother. Kinda hard to isolate only a part ion of a household.
