"Lowlifes and losers" - Trump
Still, do they deserve to be shot by national guard for not overcoming hurdles that are stacked against them? What is property? China uses the USA patent office like it was a warehouse of instruction manuals on how to build stuff. At least China is creating things, the USA in general - just seems to be the biggest winner is the one that loots the most and then declares bankruptcy so that everyone else has to pay.
2.4x more likely to die, is a hurdle that would take out any man and cause despair. Africans on the African continent are actually doing better than whites in the USA.

Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
BTW: By my estimation this is really bad. People been locked up for two months, and now have an undisputed reason to be angry. Not that its not already there, but its not there yet.
A single heat wave or earthquake could trigger exceptionally bad outcomes.

Obama Justice Department:The Myth of Systemic Police Racism
....
In 2019 police officers fatally shot 1,004 people, most of whom were armed or otherwise dangerous. African-Americans were about a quarter of those killed by cops last year (235), a ratio that has remained stable since 2015. That share of black victims is less than what the black crime rate would predict, since police shootings are a function of how often officers encounter armed and violent suspects. In 2018, the latest year for which such data have been published, African-Americans made up 53% of known homicide offenders in the U.S. and commit about 60% of robberies, though they are 13% of the population.
The police fatally shot nine unarmed blacks and 19 unarmed whites in 2019, according to a Washington Post database, down from 38 and 32, respectively, in 2015. The Post defines “unarmed” broadly to include such cases as a suspect in Newark, N.J., who had a loaded handgun in his car during a police chase. In 2018 there were 7,407 black homicide victims. Assuming a comparable number of victims last year, those nine unarmed black victims of police shootings represent 0.1% of all African-Americans killed in 2019. By contrast, a police officer is 18˝ times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.
A 2015 Justice Department analysis of the Philadelphia Police Department found that white police officers were less likely than black or Hispanic officers to shoot unarmed black suspects. Research by Harvard economist Roland G. Fryer Jr. also found no evidence of racial discrimination in shootings. Any evidence to the contrary fails to take into account crime rates and civilian behavior before and during interactions with police.

More evidence against "systemic police racism".

We find no evidence of anti-Black or anti-Hispanic disparities across shootings, and White officers are not more likely to shoot minority civilians than non-White officers.
I saw those stats. Kind of mind blowing. Basically it should be blue lives matter and white lives matter before black lives matter according to who is getting killed by who the most. Or maybe all lives matter, except that’s racist. As far as I can see, blacks kill way more whites, way more blacks, and way more cops than vice versa. If there is another interpretation of the numbers I’m not seeing, I’d love to hear it, because it looks like this is all a sham now.
I think the problem at hand is why are more minorities involved in violent crime and how do we address the underlying issues? Decreasing poverty, breaking up ghettos, increasing education, etc.. should help improve the fact that crime rates are higher for these minority groups.
There are at least two explanations for the current attitudes:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
1. A perception of injustice makes people easier to control and it's easier to maintain a voting bloc (hi Democrats!). Police injustice is super easy to do this way because you can use anecdotes effectively (Ferguson, George Floyd, etc.). People love anecdotal evidence.
2. People have a difficult time understanding the underlying injustices which create the inequalities which then translate to higher crime statistics. There is a reason black people commit more crime. Let's talk about that instead. Unfortunately, this is likely caused by a complex combination of factors, some of which might come dangerously close to "personal responsibility". Some of them are leftover nonsense from a more racist time. Some of them are public policies which are designed to help, but ultimately hinder by creating dependency or infantalizing those they are designed to help (think lefty nanny state).

People are protesting for the killing of George Floyd yes.... but aren't they also screaming out to stop the ongoing and constant racial profiling and racial harassment from cops?
Wheres the study showing that cops harass middle aged, upper class, white men more then black men? Wheres the study that shows white men getting cuffed for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill?

Living in Canada and my experiences/maturity, I haven't thought about color for a long time. My squad in Vegas last year had a Spanish Canadian, Polish Ukrainian, Chinese (me), Persian, East Indian, and a straight up white and black dude. That's as multicultural as it gets and only thing that mattered was we all clicked and had fun.
Anyway it's just baffling for me because like I said previously, black people are just such a big part of our culture that it's surreal this is happening or it's just the MSM narrative/triggering people?!
