Shooting someone in the leg doesn’t stop a threat, you can still stab or pull a trigger after taking a hit in the leg. Not only that, you’d be expecting them to hit a small target while amped up on adrenaline and having to make split second decisions. You’re also increasing the risk of ricochets.

Arms are about 5% of presented surface area, legs are about 9%, head is 9% and torso is 18% and has more vital organs than the legs and arms and therefore more likely to ensure the threat is actually stopped

People who say that’s it’s a better idea have either watched too many movies or never shot a handgun, most likely a combination of both.

I still haven't read much on what the imminent threat was that caused the cop to shoot. With previous shootings police have been quick to release the video or mention the reason the cop shot.

Theres some pretty graphic articles out on a shooting at the protests in Kenosha last night. Sounds like a white militia member went on a shooting rampage.

Protesters tried to tackle him and in the process more people got shot. The articles I read were pretty graphic describing one person getting shot in the head.

Resisted arrest and commands to not go to his car
Previous record of resisting arrest for cops and having a weapon in his vehicle
