How many times has this happened? The Liberals fuck everything up, and then it takes hard work and tenuous Conservative governments to fix things.
The cycle goes sound like spend whatever feels good, increase social programs, bungle development and then fuck up so bad even hardened Liberals are fed up. The. Conservatives come in and see how bad the books really are, end up being unpopular but critical stern Dad saying we need to spend less and this/that has to go and we need to make more money. Then people who either need social programs or want them, tax breaks and handouts aren't getting them, and want them. Who gave them that? The Liberals.

    Endless.

Sounds like someone(s) should have picked a different country to immigrate to. But no, let's restructure our banking instead.

“Convert” to Islam. Everyone should do it before applying for a mortgage.

When examining all taxes from all levels of government in Canada, the
paper finds that the top 20 percent of income-earning families is the only
group that collectively pays a greater share of total taxes than their share of
total income earned. Specifically, the top 20 percent earns 49.1 percent of the
nation’s income but pays 55.9 percent of total taxes—a difference of 13.9 percent. By contrast, families in the bottom 20 percent earn 4.1 percent of the
nation’s income while collectively paying just 1.8 percent of all taxes.

The top 1 percent of income earners is often targeted as the group that
should pay higher taxes, so this group warrants special focus. However, the
top 1 percent’s collective share of total taxes paid (14.7 percent) is greater than
its share of total income earned (10.7 percent). This amounts to a gap of 36.9
percent between the share of taxes paid and the income earned by the top 1
percent. Notably, over time, the top 1 percent’s share of total taxes paid has
increased from 11.3 percent in 1997 to 14.7 percent in 2017.

There's a lot of wtf in the actual document if you get into it. Like military aid to Ukraine at 320M a year to 2029.

Or a belief that EI benefits will climb while administration and other expenses will go down by 30%. Probably going to get Phoenix to help with this increase in efficiency.

Also concerning is the top line where we randomly pull 93 million out of our national defence in 2027?

Last one showing tax revenue projections. With corporate income tax not recovering till 2027 and a steady climb in personal income tax. Wonder if they know something we don't...
