Do you honestly think he'd run as high of deficits and allow for so much money to vanish into thin air as Turdy and Tia? I can't see a genuine finance guy doing that, even if he does funnel a few tens of millions to his cronies.

Sean Fraser on the other hand will make Zimbabweans blush.
Do you honestly think Carney would spend any less money?

As for deficits, I’m sure he would solve that. He’s a tax and spend liberal, all he is going to do is add on the other side of the equation.

He absolutely would. He has no interest in the welfare of Canadians and Canada. In fact, Canada's best interests are often specifically in opposition to his interests.

The difference between Carney and Trudeau is that Trudeau doesn't necessarily believe (or for heaven's sake even know) what he is doing, he's just in it for the ride and the money after. Carney is a true believer, that's much more dangerous.

    You have a point.

In either case, we can't let either of those two doody-heads get into office ever again.

We should have not let Carney back after he took off at the start of the economic crisis for greener pastures. He was leaving to save his resume, he didn't want to have a stain from the economy hitting the shitter.

Yes. Because why would he be attacking deficits if he supports maintaining them?

[Carney] made some subtle digs at large deficit spending under the current Liberal government, saying that governments that “spend too much and invest too little will eventually pay a heavy price” while countries that “welcome and celebrate risk-takers will thrive.”The federal budget, which forecasts a deficit of nearly $40 billion this year, has been under fire for its increase in capital gains taxation, which will affect individuals who make large profits by selling a second property, or corporations selling any of their assets.
Business groups have argued that the tax hike will stifle innovation and drive away entrepreneurship in Canada.
Carney insisted that the new economic era Canada finds itself in will “demand fiscal discipline and a relentless focus on delivery, rather than reflex spending that only treats the symptom but doesn’t cure the disease.”

Perhaps because it's what people want to hear?

Trudeau is wildly unpopular. Carney can't support what the current regime is doing purely for optics, whether or not he agrees with them.

They are attempting to rebuild their destroyed voter base and the strategy is to come in with a message that swings the pendulum a little right from where Trudeau currently has it.

A little right doesn't work. Carney probably knows this, but Canadians don't (because retard). So Carney will pander to the Canadian voter base and continue anti growth policies.

My prediction is one last massive swing for the fence and the Liberals are going to introduce UBI before the next election.

They're waiting for Trump to get elected so they can put on a full court press of fear-mongering over Republican politics (abortion, guns, etc.)

How fucking retarded do you have to be to vote against a party for something like abortion alone. The entire country could be in social and financial ruin but don't take away my someone else's right to abort a fetus!

Abortion is one of those issues that will turn people into single-issue voters.

Welp. I'm permabanned from r/Canada for calling out the hypocrisy of wokeism (in relation to recent comments from Poilievre about invoking Section 33 since the SCC has deemed more than 25 years in prison without an opportunity for parole for a mass murder hate crime "unconstitutional").

    Probably for the best.

Good luck Canada. The propagandists run the show now.

I thought sharing actual intelligence, data, and logic to push back on the propaganda would be helpful... but clearly, a waste of time.

They're going to have to deal with situations like that soon. Can't be banning users if reddit expects to make a profit.

Just remember, you're dealing with someone that maybe makes $20/hr at most.

Reddit mods are unpaid volunteers. I have my doubts any of them are contributing to society.

Reddit admins are staff who only get involved if a mod escalates to them, they don't ban people for posts.

Yeah, I know they're volunteers. I'm saying their real job pays them that.
