It's also insane that the poors who are pushing this, don't have any outlook as to where it ends up. They all live in bedrooms, or on the street, mom's basement, etc. So they think having a 600sqft apartment for "free" would be great. They don't realize that it's their forced labor output that pays for it. Or that when you leave your housing up to the government, the government gets to set the goal posts on what your "needs" are. So that 600sqft apartment, turns out to be a sleeping pod in a shared accommodation center. The government funds plenty, and are finally prioritizing something by not wanting to fund things outside their scope. I think it’s a good idea the federal government doesn’t want to be throwing billions to fix provincial messes in GTA and suburban Montreal interchange projects.
