What seat are you using?

Issue I have with my evolution is the whole thing is so flimsy it flexes when I brake lol

I went thru a lot of shitty seats that had the same problem. I ended up with an Apiga AP1. Some cheap ass Chinese setup around $600 that's strong as fuck, with an adjustable seat on rails. Whole setup is on wheels for relatively easy storage and it doesn't move while driving. Got it 15 years ago at memory express.

@danno the xbox wheels works 100% with the PS5 as long as you have the PS5 DD Pro wheelbase. There's also a non PS5 DD Pro version out there. The button mappings are stupid but it works.

Just upgraded fanatec setup myself for ps5. Got the 8nm and the old clubsport v2 belt drive still felt way stronger. So disappointed the clubsport v2 didn’t support ps5. GT7 with vr is terrific though. The ps5 steering wheel is also a piece of shit.

Finally completed my setup this weekend with the CSLDD and the playseat trophy. Pretty fun setup to try on ACC and F1 23. Will take some getting used to and need to tune it a bit to get it how I want as the default was kind of strong on impact but the fanatec recommended settings were quite a bit softer. Need to figure how to setup the additional features on the csv3 pedals also.

I’m starting to have issues, randomly the wheel turns off the base will still be on the pedals don’t work as well. Could be 40 min in, it happened within 5 min. Resetting the pc fixes it, resetting the wheel does nothing.

Very similar to what led me to upgrade to this wheel, guess I’ll reload everything and try again.

For the CSL DD, getting the settings right is key. There are a lot of Fanatec settings and in-sim settings that you need to dial in to have a good experience. It took me a long time to get my CDL DD w/ Boost Kit feeling good in iRacing. If anyone wants a spreadsheet of iRacing settings for the CSL DD w/ Boost Kit let me know.

That being said it certainly could use a bit more peak torque, I feel like 10-12Nm would be perfect. If you adjust your settings to get rid of any clipping it can definitely feel a bit weak.

Some issues I have seen in the past with people having disconnect issues are related to USB throughput and electromagnetic interference.

A lot of people recommend that you run the devices through a powered USB hub. I'm not sure what type of rig you have your wheel base mounted to, but if you have a metal rig I have seen a recommendation to attach a ground wire from the rig to a screw on the back of the PC. This can get rid of any EM interference.
