Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
I dealt with a few but ended up buying from Okotoks VW. It was a no-nonsense transaction. PM me if you'd like to know the guy I dealt with there and I'll split the referral with youThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'd definately consider another Golf R especially with the 2025 likely redoing the steering wheel buttons. They are still a great deal for the Canadian market. Nice purchase!

Loved mine, easily one of, if not favorite daily I have had.
Yah it’s shocking how much more they cost in the US. It’s almost the same amount in USD as we pay up here in CAD.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's what I was thinking. I had to go fact check max, cause I thought for sure they were >$60k haha. They do indeed start in low 50s.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Let us know when you retrofit your steering wheel with one from a '25 that has buttons

Hey 94Boosted, how do you compared this new generation of Golf R to the last one you had? Seen a lot of reviews, but nobody had owned either long time, so your opinion would be valuable.
Check back with me in a few weeks. Engine break-in is 1000km, so it'll take me a while. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The old one was kinda meh at the limit, even with better wheel/tires and a stiff rear bar. But as a fun daily, it was really good. Hopefully this one will be better.
Next gen gti looks like it fixes some issues with climate control and seat heating and cooling. I imagine the golf r will be the same if it makes it here, one last go at a gas engine??
Just got myself a ‘24, manny. It just may be, the last new car I buy.

I’ve owned 04, 13, 17, 19 all for considerable durations.
I’ll try to update later this summer, with a review.

Nice. I'll be curious to hear what your mk8 vs mk7.5 R comparison is like. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'm quite happy with my '19 R and have no immediate plans to part with it.
