Maybe we need a Covid lottery if things slow down.

Anyone else get AZ as their first dose? I got mine over 5 weeks ago. Second shot AZ scheduled for 2nd week August but who knows if that's what I'll get or I can get a Pfizer/Moderna as the 2nd.

We don't know. Its likely that you will be able to mix and match the vaccines... But they haven't published the data yet

I think they need to start telling us that coronavirus:

"Increases the appearance of fine lines."

"Will make the shadowing effects in your tattoos fade."

    "Exacerbates premature ejaculation."

"Supports hair migration from the head to the general area above ass crack."

    "Anal leakage."
Jesus how long have I had it?

Alberta is ahead of every province already when it comes to second shots and continues to do them as our precent of fully vaxxed goes up every day

I am sure next week we will officially fall in-line with others and give out az and others

Another good day. 37k first shots.

Up to 61.5%, also over 10% with 2 doses which surprised me. 325,130 doses to go, only need to average 12,042/day for 27 days to have phase 3 open for stampede.

People still think we won’t get there?

These are the official numbers for end of day yesterday which are the only reliable numbers.

But a day behind. And actually higher than the “real time” numbers stated yesterday. Either way, things are still looking good, let’s be happy about that. I know my beer will taste good this eve.

That website uses the same data I quoted as a source (they make this very clear in their notes and citations) Then makes a ton of assumptions to try and line data up with other provinces that report on different time thresholds.

To the best of my knowledge the only real data for Alberta lags 1 day behind and comes out at ~3:30 daily.

AB site sometimes adds doses to a prior day though so you have to be mindful when looking at 1st doses using just that chart. It could be 17k first doses yesterday but they also added another 20k doses in prior days due to some pharmacies not reporting daily numbers.

Either way, were rolling along and on good pace to hit phase 3 before the middle of June.

@ AB vaccine lottery... They gotta be careful talking about this, if it starts to become a thing people may intentionally choose to wait to hope to receive prizes. Hopefully if they do announce it they do it where everyone there already doses by the draw is eligible.

How would waiting increase your chances of a prize? If you get your lotto ticket(vax) you're in the same draw and have the same odds as everyone else that got their ticket.

And if they really want to speed up the vaccination rate, do a weekly vax lottery, so people are incentivized to get in sooner so as not to miss a draw.

California: Next 2 million people to get vaccinated get a 50$ gift card. Not retroactive.

How does that not make people consider holding off to get prizes or see if something better comes along.

I'm saying it everyone's there been vaccinated gets a lotto ticket that's fine. But if they pull some shit of 'anyone that gets a shot in June here a entry' then it'll cause issues
