I had covid several months ago with super short of breath. Seemed to improved slowly over several weeks but never really back to normal.
Then in April/May I developed a cold which ended up being worse then covid, was totally wiped for a solid week, could barely get down a flight of stairs. Ended up going to the walk in clinic cause I was sick for so long and not getting better. And I started getting ear ringing and pain and I couldn't stop coughing or take deep breaths. Thought it was maybe covid again or an ear infection or bronchitis... doc said it was just a flu/cold and I could have a cough for weeks or even months (awesome!). They gave me a symbicort inhaler which does help a little when I'm coughing lots and helps with deep breathing. I'm still popping halls at bedtime to keep myself from coughing as I get a dry, scratchy throat every single day still.
Funny enough I'm also shedding pounds, with no real physical activity (hard to do when you can barely breath) but I just chalked it up to no boozing the last couple months as I haven't felt great. Super weird.
