Have had an appointment at tirebobs booked for this date for three weeks. Still think it's too early, but whatev.

People are idiotically frantic about removing all-season tires just to drive in slush.

Some of us don’t drive on all seasons

Key is don't use your signals and it increases the life of the hazard lights.

I don't see the point in not switching this weekend. Even if you have all seasons, we're in the "random snowfall" time of year, where they'll call for 1-2cm, but it ends up being well more than that. Plus, its not like you're saving money by delaying the inevitable, unless you don't intend to swap at all.

But my service advisor says I have to replace my fluids every 6 months or I'll void my warranty anyways. I may as well use it?

Yeah winter tires don't just turn to dust the second they're driven on dry pavement. I have my girlfriends car on winters year round and she drives it through summer. I have my Soob on winters permanently and don't drive it in summer, but started two weeks ago just to make sure it was good to go for this season. If you think that's pissing money away, I'd say owning one set of tires with slightly accelerated wear in summer is cheaper than owning two sets and the stress of swapping them at the very last possible second. This only applies to low performance cars obviously, high performance cars or big ass trucks are going to be harder on tires.

Shak is calling around car dealerships at random asking if they have any cars in stock with winter tires on.

Have any of you tried buying winter tires from Maclin Ford? I called in and their pricing was about $200 - $300 cheaper vs. the other tire shops that I got quotes from. $1 over cost they say provided that you pay them $150 to mount/balance/Install.

Anyways yesterday I was over at UrbanTire and I just had them mount the winter tires on my nice summer rims as Subaru screwed me. Bought a new Subaru they said it would come with 18s and it came with 17s. So now Ill have to rock the factory rims in the summer and the nice aftermarket rims in the winter.

Got excited last night seeing the forecast, threw the car in the garage expecting to toss winters on today. Still nada. Double digits next week anyways so probably won't change over yet.

I used Renfrew Chrysler for tires last year as it's close to my office. Good price. Sorry tirebob, the tires on the truck were very worn, I barely made it to the dealership in one piece lol, I actually wiped out twice.

    I LoL'd for serious!

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

I wasted my +Rep on Vengie because of his master debater skills.
