When the hell did tenderloin primals at Costco hit 54.99/kg?!?

I saw they had their $30 off deal this weekend but at that high of a starting price it’s not even a good deal. Shit even a boneless Prime Rib roast is 45.99/kg.

Did they fuck up and set the primal price to be the trimmed/denuded tenderloin? Not happy…I need tenderloin for my kiddos for steak nights

Has anyone seen venison around? I'm specifically looking for sugar free venison jerky, but I could make my own as well.

It’s sticks… which isn’t my favourite, and it has sugar… but can you even do sugar free jerky? You need the salt to cure it, and the sugar balances that out. Couldn’t imagine sugar free being any good

Both mcsweenys and Jack links do sugar free beef jerky. Guess it's possible.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

I talked to these guys today, and they seemed really cool!

They do sugar free Elk jerky, which should be almost exactly the same as venison jerky.

Prices appear quite reasonable for regular meat too. Interesting.

I mean… is it a deal? Or fake sale? Everything seems to always be on sale, but take the BLW for example… (well, actually starts below their black, so maybe the rejects?) that grading is their “black” offering… $105/kg for ribeye right from BLW, which is $47.73/16oz steak

Great Meats is legit - have bought from them a few times before. Those 'sales' are fake though - it's just their standard prices.

Buy from them quite often, zero complaints about their beef. Usually buy the AAA Ribeye and tenderloins. They are willing to do custom cuts as well if you ask.

I was wondering if anyone has tried their wagyu and their impressions of it.

I can buy anything from Prepak Meats in Calgary for cost +1%. Their bacon is supposed to be to die for, will report back.
