Oh no. I'm not saying that PER should've tried to race VER, that would be dumb. Just that VER's bad start was saved by the fact that PER had qualified in P3 and let him pass so he could compete with HAM. If it had been anyone that wasn't RB or RB-affiliated, VER might've been stuck in P3 for awhile.

I think VER benefitted a lot from Checo letting him stay in 3rd after he gave up the lead to HAM at the start. I think if that had been LEC (he was the guy in P4 there, I think), VER would've been stuck in P3 for awhile and given HAM a chance to build a lead.

You don’t want you #2 driver competing with the #1 … you want him to score good points, and help with strategy, and if you fall … pick up a win… which checo has done this year.

Tsunodo held up Verstappen a bit as well. I'm sure Marko gave him shit for that.

Yuki is slightly improving, watched a clip over the weekend where in an interview he said this year isn't going as planned and thought F1 would be much easier. Albon has helped prepare him for races the past 2 races, hopefully he has a better year next season.

So the sand pitted VER rear wing and after PER crashed and broke his, they gave the good wing to VER. Are they allowed to get more parts before a race or what you have is what you use?
