Our latest toaster oven “air fries”. It seems different than a stand alone air fryer… but is also 100% different than the old convection toaster oven (and for sure our convection full sized oven).

I find for some things I do have to dial the temp way down for it to cook things fully without it getting too dark vs the oven on convection. It is handy though, but think the next oven will be an air fry one as I do need more real estate if I want to do say, potatoes and Brussel sprouts, especially for more than two people

Not sure how I've never posted on this thread.

    Air fryers FTW.
We need to upgrade to a 2 drawer air fryer.

We should have everyone bring their air fryers to Bobbys house and we can all test them out there. He can sous-vide a brisket while we air-fry some wings.

We bought one. used once. put in pantry. never touched again.
Fries were burnt from what I recall.

    Will give it another try.

It is pretty much a foolproof device. You can literally pull the basket out 80 times to make sure you havent over cooked.

We use ours all the time, but we also dont have a microwave

But man if you forget to open/shake/check it, it can do some serious crispy damage. I know ive forgotten about sweet potatos in it and it turns it into nuclear waste

Very true - It should have a timer function though!

The original actifry ~2007 was just a timer that beeps... doesn't actually turn off the device.

Wife loves the air fryer. It's also useful to heat up crispy meat leftovers instead of a microwave.
