A lot of the controversy around that bridge was linked to bad timing of it being approved (narrowly I might add) right before the 2008 recession and how Ferell and Bronconnier were rammed through this expensive designer bridge at a time when the economy was in the tank. I'm indifferent to the bridge as I don't use it but a lot of people people like it and I'm not one to poo poo on what makes others happy. My only beef was how poorly it was handled from beginning to end.
