I’m starting to think Shak gets four squared every time he buys a vehicle.

Imo it’s more the time you buy the truck that will lower it significantly, options obviously play a part as well. When the 24’s come out in 1-2 months the 23’s will start dropping to the prices I mentioned. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Cool truck by the way, I’m sure you’ll like it…for a little while. 😉
Area dealer has a new 2023 MT GR Supra listed at MSRP....well it matches the build at toyota.ca. I thought all Toyotas were selling well above list?

Dodge trucks are priced by the Canadian Tire school of advertising. 10k of msrp is the actual price, window sticker price is for fools. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

There are actual pictures of the car on FB, so the car is physically at the dealer.
Speaking of rav4 primes and MSRP.. Here's a used 2022 with just enough mileage to disqualify it from the ev rebate for.. slightly more than a new model y performance with rebate: https://www.chtoyota.com/used/2022-T...id9777301.html

SR5 with the turbo engine and 2WD
It's relatively nippy, pretty comfy and the options are passable for the spec...no idea what it would price at though, and who even wants a RWD truck in Canada
Of the three 2023 models I've had recently, the Ram 1500 GT was my favourite for options and power, the Tundra SR5 comes second and the F150 XLT is a distant 3rd
They also have an xse coming in sept that they’ll let me have for 70,2xx OTD. Lol, get bent. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Edmonton Toyota dealers are much easier to work with it seems
South pointe is selling me a new Prime in stock for 78,900.
They say they’ll only honour msrp if you ordered it two years ago. All the landed models are cancellations, but new Primes in stock exist.

Not really comparable vehicles. Rav4 prime buyers don’t want the hassle of ev charging for long distance travel, but reap the benefits of ev for city use. It’s the only reason the vehicle exists. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That said, I think it’s a great vehicle at msrp. Assuming dumb people will buy it off me in 2-3 years at the same price.

Was just in the market for a half ton. The domestics are dealing now for sure. Dodge just had an entire lot at cost for sale here in Medicine Hat. All trims. The usual 15% off that was offered pre-covid. There is a couple of GM dealers advertising 0% over 72 right now.
I purchased a new F-150 tremor and got $5k off MSRP and 2.99%.
Inventory on trucks is very high though the last hail storm caught a huge batch at the rail yard and is holding a ton of vehicles. More deals to come!
Kind of the perfect vehicle for us honestly with the amount of mountain/commuting we do, but paying 76k for a used SUV.... no chance. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Base model RAV4s are half the cost, new. I don't see why people pay these insane prices for a PRIME.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Cause theyre rare. If i could just order direct from Toyota at MSRP and not have to deal with dealership bs, i'd do it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

1. Flipping in 2 years like rage2 showed in his calcs
2. You want a street racing Ravenous4 (quick electric mode)
3. You are asian, and must impress your asian friends (This is why my friends got one)
On my calculations for the Rav4 XSE Hybrid ( this was about $49k in 2021). I would only get gas savings after seven years. Thats if I was driving pre-pandemic style every day. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The battery would have to be replaced in seven years anyway.
