Looking like the LPC/CPC will more or less stay the same. Maybe a few seats shuffle between ndp and bloc and thats about it. Such a waste of money.
Drop in bucket compared to Cali's $300M recall election.

^ Is it though? I though the Canadian federal election was $600M?

Canadian Pesos. So US $470 million by comparison... California's population being a little higher.

Cali was definitely more stupid. It would be the equivalent of spending 300M to try and vote BC's premier out of power only to have to fail and Horgan stays.

I'd use Kenney as the example but he's disliked on both sides for it might actually succeed. California was always very unlikely to pass but people took advantage of the recall rules of gathering signatures along with the extensions of covid to garner enough signatures.

Trudeau has already promised another another election in 18 months if he doesn’t get a majority, so might as well just keep this thread open until then.

He said it during the first leaders debate. Hinted at it, not promised. —> Need to read 38 different articles to learn what really happened. Fuck him either way.

He later said he meant that typically minoritily governments only last 18 months.

My guess is he realizes a $300 billion deficit was inadequate and tries for a $500 billion deficit before he calls the next election.

Get 2100 votes in a riding and you are secured a seat in parliament. #justpeithings That entire island only needs one seat.

Looks like he is down seats to the Cons on the east coast this time. If this keeps up and Quebec and Ontario also give some back to the Cons it could get interesting... I am not saying that will happen, but it sure would be sweet to see that dumb fuck have to be eat a bit of crow.

It's really the best case scenario, it's pretty given that he wins another minority, but if loses a bunch of seats I'll be happy.

Yep... Nothing truly meaningful is going to happen so we all argue about a slight difference shade of centre. That said, the Turd's part of centre needs to go away first. lol
