I don't think Calgary played particularly bad. Demko was amazing. Markstrom wasn't, but he wasn't giving up a lot of net or anything - they were just great shots. I feel a bit bad for Vladar; this does nothing for his stats, that's for sure. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
At the end of the day, I think this shows the Canucks aren't a bad team - they just aren't consistent. When they're on, they can beat the best of them.
Despite it being a blowout, I think it's safe to say that Calgary's winning streak spoke for itself. What a run.
You can conclude nothing from this game - for either team. It's an outlier. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Kylington was reported to be the first out at practice today. Glad his spill wasn't worse, he got off super lucky because it looked brutal.

I thought he broke his neck.
Happy to hear he is relatively okay.
Yea that was one of the worst head/neck crashes I've ever seen... thought he was done for for sure.
Excited to see Stuart Skinner tonight in goal for the oil.

flames turning people away who have any sort of Ukrainian or Russian sign.
Meanwhile in edmonton they have a Ukrainian celebration planned for when ovechkin arrives.

That was a wicked turn over. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You do nothing right now. You need him if a center goes down come playoffs. He’s good as gone come the summer. Also his hip must be just fuckered, he is a shadow of the player he used to be.
I was at the game last night. People had small Ukrainian flags, signs had Ukrainian colors. The flames even projected (the) Ukrainian flag on the ice and sang (the) Ukrainian anthem. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Would be surprised if them changed their minds tonight after such a display yesterday.

Gwill might be a nice guy, but he's not a great source of information.

I can't recall a game where there has been such an obvious swing in momentum than what we saw in last night's game vs the caps. As soon as they scored their first goal it was like somebody let all the air out of our tires. We were sluggish and making stupid mistakes leading to turn overs. The Flames rallied in the last 4 minutes of the 3rd but it was too little too late.
Also, I have a confession: I don't see the Kylington or Valimaki hype at all. I know analytics say they are good but neither one looks great out there to me. I made a point of watching Kylington closely during the Oilers game and he just seemed like he was trying to be too fancy leading to turn overs or missed plays. He has sporadic moments where he seems really good, but that's to be expected of pretty much anyone in the NHL. Both of them remind me of Glen Gulutzan style players which I hated.

Kylington is finally looking like he can ben an NHL player, which wasn't certain the last few years. Not sure he'll ever live up to the initial hype though.
Valamaki suffers from the same thing. Far too much initial hype. Really seems to have fucked him up mentally. Must be brutal to be such a high prospect then have years of your career fucked up by injuries and pandemic. If he can turn into an 82 game guy, that's a win at this point even if he's third line. IDGAF if he's a top line guy.
TLDR, Never praise any prospect, assume they are all replacement-level players, profit.
