Wife has been saying she wants a new vehicle. I could buy her this but it would feel like
Not exactly a glowing review. Car is very cool, but looks like it may end up being a pain in the ass.
Decisions decisions.
Fortunately it doesn’t cost me any more to convert my reservation to a true pre order so I will probably continue down the path either way.

I was considering this but will likely go for a discovery or a defender with some urban auto accessories and colour matching i think
Tap, Rack, BANG!
Yea the defender is growing on me by the day. Especially considering this things price point.

You lost me at a physical ignition key
Haha if that’s true, that’s embarrassing they offered a car at this price point with an actual key. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

After watching Harry’s INEOS review.
This is quite the contrast

Yea, I've been pretty happy with mine so far. I wish there was a bit more tire from the stock offering but otherwise, it's been solid.
Are you on the 19’s or 20’s?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I am seeing you can get an X on 19’s as a no cost option.
Highly tempted by V8, esp now that there is a P500 SE they released quietly, but worried about tires with the 20’s.

22" summers and 20" winters, hence I wish it came with a bit more rubber. You have to do a bit of grinding to get 18s to fit on the P400 and above trims, as they put on bigger brakes for these versions.
V8 would be great for the noise but the mild hybrid does a great job of filling in the turbo lag (basically none). V8 90 would be the one I get if I didn't have a kid and dog. That thing is hilarious.
22 is rough. I don’t understand the obsession with huge rims. Huge pain in the ass.
I might never put the 21” summers back on my X5.

I never got to spec mine. There was a big wait to spec one, so I took a pre-config'd dealer order after someone dropped out. Lots of stock, or incoming stock with their crazy high rates right now. Or maybe that's the new normal to pay 7+ points for leasing/financing.
I’ve never actually ordered a car before. This might be a first.
Then again taking advantage of some over leveraged moron to get a hefty discount is always fun too.

Well it was no additional fee to secure my build slot, but getting a bit more official
Still not convinced I will go through with it, I also have an order in on a GX550 so it will be interesting to see which of these materializes first.
Worst case ontario I can always walk into a dealer and buy a defender.

Got a decent update from Ineos. So Dealer day in the US is Sept 28th, and Canada is staggered to end of October.
So around a month until I find out who I am buying the car from and actually have a contact to deal with.
US delivery timing is going to be late Q4, the first vehicles have started landing there but it sounds like those are mostly for demo and certification purposes.
Canada is being staggered until Q1(/Q2 lets be realistic) 2024 because apparently the new import duty rules kick in at that point, wonder if any of those savings are going to be passed along to purchasers ( IMO doubtful ). Might poke igneous about that because to me the biggest hurdle to actually converting on my order is the price compared to competition.
