So with just buying a truck camper, looks like I’m maybe 3” short of being able to put it into the garage (the entire opening, not the door). What kind of world of hurt would I be in to increase the total height?

Holy shit, I don't really know but my gut is telling me it's damn near impossible on an attached garage.
How much can you lower the tire pressure to shrink some height?
Lift entire structure by raising the pony wall? Didn't some beyonder do this before?

Perhaps a lower profile steel header could do the trick.
Gonna be a battle as I likely have to increase my suspension to hold the camper better, so might be stuck at height. Frustrating (and typical mattamy, a ‘7 foot garage’ is 6 feet 11 inches. Probably gonna end up with a folding utility trailer but contemplating optionsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Can you share some pics of the setup? Is there room to raise the door?
Or may be easier to put bags on the truck haha. low rider entrance.

How tall are the garages in aspen? Maybe just move.

This would be the way. You likely have a 8” -12” wood header across the top. If you can shrink it in half with a steel beam then that’s your 3-4 inches. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Though you’ll likely run into issues of getting a garage door to fit that opening. Most are standardized sizes. You’d either need a new door or get one custom panel for the garage door to fit. Also you’d need to change your door opening rails to be a higher lift so you can clear the camper when the door is open.
camping lol
What a bottomless pit

I am interesting in raising my whole garage just a bit more if I can down the road, off the curb walls or increasing them I suppose. In for answers.
I’m in process of doing this right now with attached garage. I’m bringing front of garage out 2 ft and widening side by 2ft and then raising garage door from standard 7ft opening to over 8ft. Main reason for this is so I can get my car under my lift with truck on top but benefits from what you are saying and raising all exterior walls and redoing trusses. I’ll let you know how it works out.
Depends on framing. And current setup. For the door with the standard 21 and 24" sections there's usually a combo to hit most sizes pretty much.
Really comes down to what you've got, and if the framer can rework it.
