Default Electrical infrastructure changes needed due to EV's, Solar, Natural Gas bans

It's becoming clear that major changes will be needed to accommodate changing usage patterns. Widespread adoption of EV's, bans on natural gas for home use (New York and California so far, home-solar etc.

Prices will change, and there will be winners and losers.

    Gun b pricey

Someone on a BMW forum in California was noting he pays something like 45 cents a kwhr to charge his EV. 45 cents real money.

If people think their electrical bills are high now, wait until the guaranteed return of all these $$$ infrastructure investments gets factored in to the riders, and the usage fees go up 5-10x to accommodate more expensive generation sources.

Good thing Aspen is only a 5 minute bus ride to downtown.

Another one to remember. Running an EV charging cable across a sidewalk is illegal. I can think of a lot of neighborhoods in this city that that rule will sanitize for EV owners.

It's a moot point, in the future we're all going to be using an incredible city-wide network of bike lanes to get everywhere.

But let's go protest the Site-C hydro dam, because it's not the right shade of green to charge the cell phone I paid slaves to make before they killed themselves.

Going to be wild in New York when it's cold out, and all building heat needs to come from electricity.

The trick is to build city Mega Blocks, like Judge Dredd style. No commuting necessary, and way less infrastructure required.

It is actually all our parents' fault that this has happened. Not enough of us can comprehend basic math, science and finance principles to have the skills to deal with this. Someone should have taught us better.

Ironically, environmentalists against nuclear power means they have burn more natural gas for electricity since Indian Point was not replaced.

People keep forgetting that major cities can't depend on weather for power.

Lol, I wonder if they understand how their electricity is generated...

It will be very exciting to watch electricity prices rise sharply.

Everyone's electricity prices are going to 5x or more. Shit is going to get wild when we are paying 50c/kwh and having rolling blackouts at the same time.
