Any recommendations for pop up shade structures that are big enough to cover a picnic table?

1989 Mercedes Benz 420 SEL: Sold
2008 Mercedes Benz C230: Cruising
2000 Bluebird TC2000: Build phase of skoolie project
2018 Rav4 XLE: New baby friendly daily
We have this pop-up one, and it's awesome. Can fit over the extra large picnic tables too. Also bought wind/privacy screens that go on easy and can cover all sides if we want. They've gotten expensive since we purchased though, and they don't full collapse for storage. Gazelle Pop-up GazeboThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I have one of those too from Costco. Big enough to fit over a picnic table, though maybe not an extra large one. Only takes a couple minutes to put up.

@killramos how was your camping this weekend?
100mm of rain, a toddler, a pack of wet dogs, corresponding nutbar dog people. What’s not to love.
I can’t imagine why it’s been 4 years since my last camping trip.

Did I mention that once I got there I was informed that my alcoholic uncle has gone dry and that it would be rude to drink beer in front of him? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There went half the contents of my car.
On the plus side the glorified buckets in a shack for shitting in were relatively clean?

You know how people don't want to live in a duplex so they don't have to share a wall?
Camping is like that but way worse
I did get to see some fish cops arrest some door knobs shooting skeet from the side of a highway!

This is fucked. I've been on the wagon for 8 months. It would bug me if someone else didn't drink just because of me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I suspect the right move would be lots of soggy walks to get 4 or 5 beers in at a timeThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I think the crown jewel of the weekend was being informed that the chair my toddler was playing on was for my aunts dog, and that she needed to get off it so the dog could have a nap.
Off to the lake for the week so I can be an alcoholic in peace.

Dog ownership is approaching the level of cat ownership in terms of how strongly I feel about not doing it.
I caught myself pointing and laughing at someone walking their dog during torrential rain on Friday.
Fingers crossed they let you out of that cage. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Can confirm. Not news.
And this event wasn’t even with the piece of work ones.
Though I hear some of them might be rolling through alberta this week to buy a new 3 axle toy hauler so we will see.

I hear you on camping with embarrassing people. Wife's friends invited us out to Kinbrook for the weekend and while they are decent folks, their kids are absolute shits and their fucking dog barked at everything.
On the upside, it was a really nice weekend and we got to try out the improved tent-camping setup. Added a batwing awning to the Jeep for shade, 75L 12V fridge/freezer and some solar panels, and an on-demand hot shower setup. Pretty luxury for tenting, everything worked great. We only had a couple of 40W solar panels we got for free, it kept the deep-cycle battery for the fridge going but it was still slowly drawing down over the weekend (~50% after 3 days). I'll probably add a third panel next time to keep it topped up better.
